I picked up this 2020 SR5 with 24k miles on her in January, just before the prices went loco. Spent the last 9 months making upgrades. I was hoping to build an overland vehicle that I could take almost anywhere. I’ve never been a “car guy” and outside of changing a battery, starter or brakes on a pre-1980 car, I have no idea what I’m doing. Almost every upgrade I made to this truck I learned about on this site. The last upgrade I made was installing an 8 Gang Switch that I somehow managed to wire entirely by myself. And yes, my mower is in the shop so my lawn looks like shit.

Ive been debating getting one. I’ve already added so much weight to the truck. My friend had one installed on his truck and said he never used it a single time.

Oh ok. Some people have posted that CBI bumpers don't come with very good installation instructions but it seems like it would be pretty straightforward so I was curious.

I live in CA. and never get used to the eastern states having that "two tone" grass that looks like a manicured weed field in the winter time.
If someone has a lawn like that over here, everyone would assume the person who owned it was just some enviro weeni doing their thing to save water.

Nice truck! There are options aside from a winch. Hi lift jack can be used to winch, good quality 3 ton come along, traction blocks that strap on, etc. Good common sense and patience goes a long way.

Yeah. It’s basically prairie grass and covers most land around here that wasn’t been worked. Imported by the Germans, I believe. I’m on 3 acres. I got a quote for $27,000 to replace it. Just ain’t gonna happen.
