Beer B.S. and Review Thread

My wife made me the birthday cake I have always wanted this year. I always tell her I don't need dessert I would rather save the calories for beer haha.

Wow Great having a beer distributor as your neighbor Here's a taste test of a beer called Flower Power yes I said flower, haha. Anyway this beer is smooth with a slight grapefruit note, but keeping hoppy. Beer is out of Ithica Beer Company , Ithica NY. No info on ABV or hops, but will take a stab and say 60% IBU. 2nd Beer is from Shipyard Brewery out of Maine . I'm a big fan of Shipyard beers. This one is Maui Mango. ABV 4.7, definitely a summer time beer. Great refreshing taste but not overly fruity. 3rd one on the table is FireBerry also from Shipyard Brewery . ABV 4.3. So these beers are great summertime beers. SALUTE

 

Last, but especially not least is my favorite Citrus IPA Tropi Cannon from Heavy Seas.

Guess my buddy is trying to immobilize me with this 10% Hopslam IPA from Bell's Brewery. Geeze Louise . It's a good thing I'm off tomorrow

Count me in, sounds like a great idea. We could do it at my cottage in OBX. Only downside is it’s kinda small, only sleeps 6 comfortably.

 

My wife got me a six pack of this. I don't normally like session IPAs or fruity beers, but this one is pretty good. Well balanced without too much mango flavor.

 

Just recently got into sours, and now I can't get enough of them. Another awesome sour.

 

I can't do much with the sours but a good IPA the best

 

IPA's are what I normally drink. Good stuff. How about a sour IPA? I suck at reviews, but this is a damn good beer.

 

Where is that brewery located? I would try that one. I have to keep an eye out for it

Smooth and refreshing. Not one of my favorites, but still decent.

 

One of my favorites. Crisp refreshing and packed with Yakima valley hops.

 

I enjoyed one of these last night, the weather we've been having has put me in a rum and rye mood as of late, but this hit the spot nicely. Rich and creamy, 9% and a 1L bottle.
