Yeah. I love that they use Ralph Steadman art for their labels too

There was a cool article on Steadman in a beer magazine I was reading recently. I'll try to find a link, he's an interesting dude.

Talon double IPA 10% 95IBUs. Lots of different hops going on here, classic west coast style IPA. Big thanks to @dcsleeper408 for the hook up.

Full sail IPA from full sail brewing in hood river OR. 6% surprisingly light and drinkable, this would be a great beach beer. Shout out to @dcsleeper408

Colorado has so many craft brewers' than anywhere in North America, it boggles the mind... Google it. I don't need to. I'm living it....

For what it's worth...Oregon...Portland...Started the craft brew thing back in the 70's. Portland still is making the best craft brews. Go DUCKS. Final 4 ...

Great beer for daytime drinking. Light and pretty fruity, but great taste all through from swig to swallow. Doesn't drop off and leave a bad or lacking aftertaste.

    Definitely strong taste of hopps
Some additional taste of tangerine as well.

Definitely recommend if you're an IPA guy

    The Answer Brewpub
Broken Bird- Imperial stout with toasted coconut.
    9.7%

Aroma is chocolate and roasted coffee beans.
Small hint of coconut (at least for me)

Aftertaste of coffee grounds, and roasted coconut.
    Pours smooth.

    Complients of @Noodle!

How did you like that one Sean? Since you said you liked stouts I figured you would dig that one. The Answer is in my top two favorite breweries in Richmond. I had a glass at the brewery when I picked it up but haven't opened my crowler up yet.

It's heavier than a normal stout...but also smooth and refreshing.

I'll get you a Oskar Blues Coconut to try..or another Coconut beer (Maui brewing?) if they are out. (limited release like this one) :)

    Westbrook Brewing- South Carolina
    4%

Smell: Not too much of an aroma, but certainly has a mixture to it.

Taste: If you enjoy sour beers, you'll enjoy this! bit tart in taste and some kick to it as an after taste.

    Thanks @Noodle

I didn't think you would like that one lol. It was more of a take up space in the box so the other beers don't move around beer.

An Bui is a huge Belgian and stout guy. His Vietnamese restaurant won best brew bar for a couple of years in a row. I've Been out of Va since he opened "the answer" but he had a pretty big role in getting lickinghole creek craft brewery up and running - and they brew some phenomenal beers. So do the guys at strangeways.
Colorado/ Oregon may have started the craft beer scene but I'd put central Virginia (Richmond and Charlottesville region) against anything from out west. Stone brewing and green flash have opened satellite breweries in the area too.

    *edit*
To clarify - I love co, or, and ca beers.

    Soft-Serv / Ice cream porter
South Street Brewery | Charlottesville, Virgina
    9.5%

Pours a deep, creamy black with a minimal tan head that settles.
Slight aroma of chocolate ( ) and maybe some roasted.
Taste of chocolate and maybe some cocoa in there as well.

This is definitely a great beer to try!

    Thanks @Noodle!

    Yazoo Brewing | Tennessee
    Milk Stout
    3.5%

Maybe a small hint of roasted chocolate

Light tasting, and would make a great "road" beer.

Overall, it pours brown, but it is refreshing.

    Thanks! @Noodle

Hello there Rons23. Is the Weeping Radish still making their own brew down there in the beautiful Outer Banks? Some of it satisfied my taste buds years ago.
