I'm hoping y'all can help me. I have a 2016 crewmax and have a factory sprayed bedliner. I have been looking at a classic bedrug liner (https://bedrug.com/bedrug-classic-bedliners/2016/toyota/tundra) but am worried if the bedrug adhesive will stick to the spray liner material.

    Anyone have experience with this?

Bedrug sells special velcro that adheres to spray on bed liners.

I’ve got a sprayed in bed liner with a bed rug installed over that. Been about 5 years now, it’s losing its stickiness in a couple spots but after 5 years in Colorado....I’ll take that.

......and you can peel it back and re-stick with no problems, it’s like velcro. I wired up some leds, needing to pass the wire under the rug, and it went back into place and stayed there.

I just installed their tailgate rug. It asks to sand the liner where the tape is going, I didn’t want to wreck the surface and skipped that part. I did clean/dry it well, applied rubbing alcohol, their adhesive promoter and used a heat gun to warm the area up as it was cold the other day.

I imagine the rug sticks longer if you have a tonneau cover so it rarely gets wet. Thinking of doing the bed too, feels great, could sleep on that surface.

Thanks y'all. Very helpful. Sounds like I can do it and I worried about nothing. :)

I don't have a spray-on liner but have a Bed-rug, didn't use the Velcro on the bed and it stays put. The fit of the bed-rug is so good that you don't need the Velcro.

Does the rug need to be trimmed if you have the deck rail system?

I don’t have the back and sides Bedrug, but I think it just goes up to the bed rails.

Thanks. I decided just to go with the BedRug matt and tailgate rug since I already have a spray-in liner...
