    greetings from Canada!

I picked up my 2021 tundra CM TRD Off Road just over a week ago, loving it, glad to be back in a truck again (came from a wrangler most recently). So far so good on everything, but noticed just the other night after washing the truck, that my bed is not level at the front (near the cab) and that it sits about 1/4 to 3/8 inch lower on the passenger side than the drivers side.

Again, its level at the back (tailgate side) as I can see in my rear view mirror everything sitting nice and level along the defrost lines, and if I crouch down behind the truck and look, it is straight and even.

But I noticed it because of the linex being black, against the Silver Sky Metallic, and the 2 straight lines (window, and top of bed) dont run parallel.

I've reached out to my dealer, waiting to hear back, I know its not a ton, but it's enough that I thought I would ask about. I found LOADS of forums on the "tundra lean", again coming from a wrangler I am very familiar with lean from gas tank etc. but this is different, as the truck seems level, but the box is uneven and in my case lower on the passenger.

in this pic, the tires are all even pressure, the gas tank has about 1/3 remaining. it is sitting on my driveway, so not uneven surface.

anyone seen this? anyone know of a fix? is it worth trying to fix?

    Thanks in advance!

So funny thing is my bed does not sit level on my 17' and I was really worried about it until I was in a movie theatre parking lot with my wife. I went around to picking out all the 3rd gen tundra I could find and out of the 7 tundras I found 6 of them had uneven beds. I am thinking that its a common thing most people dont pick up on. Just the other day I was behind a 3rd gen tundra on the freeway and notice his was off as well.

Edit: my bed sits unlevel at the tailgate side passenger side is lower then driver.

anyone else with any experience? I have it set to go in to the dealer tomorrow morning, they say they see it often - but I am pretty sure they are referring to the left/right positioning of the bed, not up/down of a side/corner. will see what they have to say. Filled it up with Gas today, no change in level.

It's a truck, not a Swiss Made watch.

If you try and fix that 1/4" difference, it'll open up more problems than it's worth.

    I forgot to mention....

If you think that is off, don't take a look at body panel gaps, spaces and lines. There are more than a few differences on my truck from one side to the other.

Thanks Bruce, I'm actually really happy with all the other gaps and spaces and lines, my Honda in the past was a mess of alignment, but the tundra is pretty much bang on, I notice this stuff as I used to be a detailer for 4 years... that's why this little 1/4 inch lean is bugging me!

It used to drive me nuts too. Once I started doing some work myself (headlights, removing grille etc), I noticed a bunch of it.

Because the truck is so great under the hood, I let it slide and just enjoy driving it now.

Ha....just wait for the first big paint scratch from road debris hitting your truck. It all goes downhill after that.

I agree that I did not get further into the issue because I knew any solution would be a bad one like shims under the bed.

I really don't see what you're saying, and I probably don't want to or it'll drive me nuts every time I see it on my truck.

lol. I get it, its the bed of the truck being not level in comparison to the cab. if you look at the gap between the bottom right hand corer of the back window to the black linex top of the bed, vs the left hand side, it is 1/4 inch difference.

had another look at the bed, it would appear the issue is the left side (drivers side) corner is the one that is too high (the lines along the side of the truck doors and following lines along the bed dont line up on that side, but do on the passenger side).

so my assumption is any way to correct his would need to bring that drivers side corner down (not sure how that could be possible) or shim the cab itself in that back corner... will see what the dealer says, but will ensure that before they attempt any "fix" I know what is taking place.

That's funny, I bought my truck March 12 last year. Never noticed till this thread caused me to go out in the garage and have a good look, my box is exactly like yours. I'm already over it.
