Beat Sonic Applecar play?

I just noticed Beat Sonic Sells Apple and Android carplay for our vehicles!!!
I have had their front camera and harness for a year with no issues.

Is there a benefit of using something like this vs replacing entire radio?

I purchased the Beat Sonic Car Play add on. Everything works as claimed. My only complaint is the screen is washed out, lacks definition, when using any of the navigation apps on my iPhone XR. Beat Sonic said that what I saw was the best they could do. Needless to say I rarely use the navigation and that is what I wanted the upgrade for.

I my self, going the android auto Dasaita radio 10.2 since it has everything I need.

 

I had their mirroring system and front camera. I find their products to be extremely overpriced and mediocre. Passing on this one.

 

I agree. I have their front camera kit and their mirroring kit I use for parking along with maps and videos on long drives. For the price of this kit, a new head unit purpose built with all those features would be more sensible.

 

I only have their front camera and I will say it is overpriced. However it has survived a long time for me.

I was thinking about Beat Sonic till I stumbled upon the Phoenix android head unit, I had the 1st gen ($550) and switched to the second gen unit and am more than pleased with it. I belive now they are on 4th generation and will have to read up on it when I get a little time.

 

Nice option for those who want to stay stock looking but not for no $400. Plus as mentioned already the OEM screen is really bad to begin with.
