Why not use the "x" style phone mount from RAM?

Any phone mount should work if you mean an HT?

And going to check out some of the 67 designs gear. It’s pricey but I’ve heard good things, and after talking to them have nothing but good things to say for customer service.

I already have the $20 Scosche mounts in all of my trucks and these will all hold any Feng that I have ever seen just fine.
They will also hold many Yaesu,Kenwood and Icom metal bodied HTs just fine and easily interchange from Phone to radio as needed though I usually stick 2 or more mounts in each truck so all devices can be in there together if I need to.

That Cup Phone looks really great in person too but I just don't need one at this point either.

That’s good to hear. Yeah I ordered it the other day it’s pricey for sure. I got a good deal on it though and they were cool so I rolled with it.

I never said it was cost effective. My radio sits in the space in front of the ICS plate.

OP asked for a RAM compatible mount. This is the best right now.
