I'm contemplating about getting an exhaust, particularly a 8" BAMuffler. However, I'm on the fence on the decrease of MPGs. Right now I'm getting around 14.4 MPG with the stock exhaust. How bad will my MPGs decrease with an 8" BAMuffler? Also, how much of an increase in horsepower will I get with the muffler?

Actually, with the BA Muffler exhaust system you get added HP, Low End Torque and MPG. Gains: 3-10 HP / 1-5 MPG / low end torque. Check out the attached, it really details how awesome these systems are.

Plus the sale we have going on right now is insane!!!!!!

I put a 10" standard system on my truck and didn't see an MPG difference at all. The HP/Torque would be something you'd have to dyno to get numbers on, and I wasn't really worried about that. I was just wanting the V8 to sound better, and man is it better. Almost wish I had done the 8 inch system, but I plan to be towing my Quadzilla around enough that the 10" was the best option for me.

This is very informative. I see that it takes 50 days to build the exhaust system. Also, the shipping rate. I notice one of your contacts have a San Diego North County area code. I happen to live in San Marcos, CA. Do you guys have a main headquarters where I can pick up the exhaust system as oppose to have it being delivered to me?

ahhh thanks for the info. I'm debating between the 8" or 10" system. Most people in the forums go with the 8" inch system. Did you install the system yourself?

8 is the happy middle ground for most. I love my 10, but after having it for months and loving it I wind up wishing I had more. That's how good the system is.

I did the install. Super easy. I rolled the passenger tires up on ramps to tilt the truck and get a little more room, and then it's a very simple swap of the mid-pipe with the mufflers. Assuming you have the 5.7 single exit exhaust, put headphones in and watch this video. He shows you stock, install, and then what the 10" sounds like. Now, his mic is really good and it even makes the stock system sound good, but this is to show you how much it improves with the DD.

Ya, with towing the 10" is best. The MPG is not guaranteed, just an average.

    Hello,

No, it is not a 50 day build time. We need about 30 days due to it being fully custom to your exact truck and we take into account things like additional upgrades, lift, tires, etc.

We can arrange for a drop off/pick up. Call me and we will get something completed for you. 760-877-4234

    Hello,

Yes the 8" is the most popular option for many folks. You can install it right in your driveway.

Did't buy my Tundra for MPG anyway. Bought it cuz it's awesome, well built, and will outlive me. Same reason I bought the BAMuffler sytem. :fistbump:

Not that it really matters! Nobody buys a Tundra for fuel economy! But fWIW Went from 285/70/17 to 305/70/17, 10in SS standard BAMuffler, and AFE pro dry filter, gained about 1 mpg. However that’s on frequent known road trips. I often find myself getting into the throttle a little more often though! :mudding:

If you only tow occasionally, would the 8" be acceptable? I have a pull behind camper so it would be towed once a month or every other month for the weekend.

I'm guessing the reason for the 10 if you tow a lot is that the 8 may get loud since you're under load more often while towing?
