    Hey Everyone-

I have a longevity question on the BakFlip MX4. For those of you who have had it for a year or more, how has it held up? Do you have any concerns and if you were to have to buy a Tonneau all over again, would you get an MX4?

The reason that I ask is right now you can get a BakBox 2 or a $75 Rebate free with purchase.

On that note, tell me your thoughts!

I had mine for less than a year and took it off. The rivets rusted and the plastic trim near he pull cord on the front panel broke. I also had a few indentations on the underside from gear. I babied it and am careful with my stuff, so I was disappointed at the quality and how it looked after only less than a year of normal wear and tear. I also could never get it adjusted great so it leaked. For how expensive it was, I was not happy and wouldn’t go with Bak again, considering you can get an entry-level Diamondback for $1200.

Thanks my Friend. I had a feeling. Before my truck was stolen I had an MX4 on it for a few months and I had adjustment issues. Good to know it was not just me.

Lots of guys on here seem to like them and have had them for many years. To each their own. Mine would have looked like crap in another year or so. I now have a Diamondback HD and love it. No comparison to the Bak. My only regret is I didn’t pay the premium at the outset and get the Diamondback when my truck was new.
