Thread title covers it for the most part, but curious if anyone has actually removed it to do a lift? I couldn't care less about the AVS. The auto level is handy at times, but even that I almost never use it.

Depending on the height of the lift, a spacer and sensor link extensions are usually the go to route for a vehicle with factory air. Or ditching it entirely - but that can cause aggravation with the computer.

Yeah I was most curious to see what gets pissed off if it is removed and if anyone has crossed that bridge yet. I have a Westcott kit I bought for it, but keep hearing mixed reviews on ride, and from the pictures I see they don't look that much taller, so I haven't even installed it yet. After seeing the TRD lift kit installed, that is the look I really want and from what I have read so far, the ride I want also.

I also picked up a 2023 Platinum with the AVS and I'm looking to remove it without getting a new truck. Wanted the TRD Pro but couldn't justify paying another 15k for it and didn't want to wait. The truck is perfect for my day-to-day, but I'm really annoyed by how limiting it is to the simple changes I want to make to the suspension. Dealer told me I could when they wanted to sell it to me...

Anything anyone has found would be appreciated.

If you decide to remove the AVS, I would be interested at making a deal on it if it's possible to make it work on my Limited. I want it for squatting the truck like a TRD sport.

Does it not provide a smoother ride? I figured it'd be smoother and quieter

Generally the system works well but I'm not noticing any real difference between drive modes. My plan was to upgrade some suspension components the AVS specifically is an issue since it connects to the shocks and adjust those as needed. Bottom line, its a nice system as far as I can tell but the slight benefits I can see from it are worth less to me personally than the ability to upgrade the front suspension.

I believe there is a TSB for the rear air shocks on the 2022+ tundras; the ride height sensor was sitting too low and didn't allow much suspension travel or adjustment. Does your truck look like it rides a little lower in the back than it should?

Yes I saw this. The factory ride height looks good front and rear. I really just want another inch or two for a larger tire.

Lol, no the opposite. The suspension is so bad that every crack in the road goes straight to your spine. The whole truck shakes when I hit a pothole and I have rattles in about 5 places all over the cab. On smooth roads it rides great, but I live in a mountain town. When I first got the truck, I raised the rear by manually adjusting the sensor arm, but the improvement was only marginal.

I want the shit gone, and its frustrating to hear I can't replace with coilovers. Just hit 5k miles on my 22 platinum.

Just in case there is any confusion, the AVS refers specifically to the shocks not the load leveling rear air springs.
