I’m gonna have to search for where I read about this. From what I remember, it was decently reviewed, but was just a rebranding of another product which could be had cheaper. I’ll try and remember to search for the post later.

When I saw it's rebranded Chinese product I was immediately turned off. Thought it was a bit too good to be true. If someone tries it lets us know. Apply it on beater car or truck 1st.

I wouldn't even bother on a beater car. Cquartz is same price or less

Outstanding product. I definitely recommend it. Reasonably priced, easy to apply. Leaves a nice finish. I applied it to my red Tundra probably 4-6 weeks ago, and it’s still protecting like it did on day one. Great self-cleaning properties also.
I put it on my wife’s Sequoia probably two months ago, and still going strong.

Been using Klasse for the last 10 years but want to try something new. Griots Ceramic Spray looks like a good avenue to explore. I will pick up a 22 oz bottle.

Just so you know a "ceramic spray" is not a ceramic coating. Im sure you do know that but I want to make it clear. Ceramic sprays contain sio2 or silica which is an ingredient of true ceramic coatings, just at a much lower percentage. Like 7% vs 90%
That said they are excellent products for the most part, I use reload, hydro2, and ech20. All have SiO2 at varying %

Yes I do know that. It’s poor man ceramic solution. Not into spending $1200 on the real deal. Although I do have an connection with professional detailer.

If you can DIY and have a polisher already, you can do the real deal for a couple hundred bucks. But I agree that its a good product. Not a ceramic solution but more of a long lasting wax, which is still really nice and as much as most of us need.

I was gonna say about the same thing. No need to spend $1200 if you are into doing it yourself you could buy all the product and a nice new g9 for less the. Half of that and take care of the truck till the wheels come off.

Get a clay mitt or towel, it goes 10x faster. The polishing is the killer.

I don't mind clay baring, just bought a medium clay bar from CG today. I have a mitt but noticed is leaves these weird marks. It's a CG mitt, not a nano skins. I hear nano skins mitt is great, I have never used one.

To me, ceramic just isn’t worth the labor and expense. I have a black truck, and had it done in January of 2019. I’d planned to do it myself, but ended up just paying someone. It looked great, worked great, but ultimately wasn’t any better than just going with sealants. I’d only recommend it to someone who just doesn’t want to mess with paint protection.

I’d never recommend having it done at the dealership. You can get it done better and cheaper by a detailer or on your own. The dealership isn’t looking for customer satisfaction. They’re looking for easy money. As a matter of fact, a couple of years ago we bought my daughter a Honda. The price included ceramic coating, which they claimed was already on it. I walked out and poured water on it, told them they were full of shit, and made them remove the charge.

The only advantage is longevity, which really isn’t a concern for me since I like trying different things anyway. On top of that, even though I’m careful as anyone is, I still had scratches and imperfections show up before long. It’s just pretty much impossible to keep it from happening on black paint.

I detail and do ceramic coatings on the side, I've been doing this for years. A friend of mine got a McLaren 600LT and was hellbent on the Avalon King coating. I went to his house and did all the prep, polishing, etc. The coating went on stupid easy. Pretty much impossible to screw it up. I cant really say much as to the longevity, because the car is obviously not a daily driver and lives in the garage all the time. Now he decided to get the car wrapped, so it was a total waste of time and money on his part to even have me do the coating. I have a gut feeling though it wouldn't last years. I normally use SB3 or Gtechniq and have never had issues with those.

I've been using Avalon King for 2 years now. As everyone says, it's all in the prep and as with everything else, brand loyalty is real, so take my experience with a grain of salt.

1st vehicle: 2019 Silver Sky Tundra Limited. 1.8k miles new. Clay, light paint correction, 2 coats Armor King. Great results, changed the shine to a more glass like reflection. Almost that ice look. Encountered wet roads 2 days later and wasnt happy with it after 6 months. Also wasnt sure I ever saw it "flash". A quick call and email and I Did a clay bar and IPA wipe, then hit again with 2 more coats, confirming a flash. Still looks and feels amazing a full year later, granted it is garaged

2nd vehicle: 2014 Santa Fe Limited, espresso color. Did it at just under 6yrs in age and 80k mile. Same prep with more aggressive correction, and 2 fully flashed coats. More outdoors than garaged parking and is hokding up alright for 1.5 years in. High wear areas are showing signs of needing to get redone, and I'll clay and IPA wipe for prep as the ckating has done really well at preserving the paint. Always looks wet and clear in the sun.

Both vehicles are washed weekly at a drive-thru carwash, so it's not like they are pampered and Im happy with the saved time over having to maintain every 3-6 months.

I coated the wife's 2019 Odyssey with it about 3 or 4 months ago. Still holding up fine with no issues. I tried Avalon King since Pan The Organizer had a discount code to use and bought 2 bottles for about 100 bucks i think. Did my wife's van with a little less than one bottle and the whole vehicle seems to be doing well. I'm washing it with CarPro reset and it has been very nice. I have no comparison in terms of other coatings. I will say, this was my first vehicle to apply it to and it was very easy. I did the wash, clay, polish, IPA wipe down, then coated. I was pretty set on getting Cquartz for close to the same price, but when I saw the discount code and saw on PTO's YT channel how easy and user friendly it was, I went ahead and took the chance on it. Plus, my wife's van is all white, so it is kinda like a test subject for my when I do my truck....hopefully soon. I have blazing blue, so hopefully it does well. I enjoy trying different things like that and am not really brand loyal like I used to be back in the day (more informed/experienced). I just recently started topping with a lil bead maker to add a lil bit of pop to the metallic flake and a small extra level of protection. Happy so far, but need more time to test longevity. She works at a plant and we drive about 40-60 miles a day to and from work/daycare/school. We also have the garage to protect from elements when home. Again, time will tell for sure.
