Thank you! I've been looking for a way to add more here. I'll check that for something that properly expresses what we really go through here on this forum.

(I still prefer we get a great one added to the choices right here!)

But we're still in 2017?! :goingcrazy:

I'm kind of in the same boat, spending too much on my motorcycle so my truck fund is depleted. But I need to fix up this bike as it'll be my only mode of transportation after I sell my taco... selling taco for another taco (or maybe a tundra). I need myself a money tree so this can go faster haha. Still many months away from making moves.

@Sunnier (and any other so-cal members) I posted this in the So-cal roll call section, but idk if that thread is visited often, anyways I set up a Brewery meet over on TW if you're interested in checking it out. Used to be every Thursday, toned it back to every other Thursday. This week (tomorrow) we're going to Belching Beaver brewery in Vista. The actual brewery, not the restaurant. More than welcome to come and meet other local Toyota owners
They also released a new seasonal double IPA that sounds great! And the Horchata Stout on tap is soooo good

I used to be stationed down the street from you guys at Miramar. Jba’s Speed shop built my mustang while I was there. Don’t tempt me with a road trip for a roughly $700 California burrito lol.

I'll buy your first beer :boink:

    :p

I drive past the base on my way home from work, pretty exciting sitting in traffic with jets flying just overhead!
Dang, must have been a quick car! What all was done to it? Pics?

I'd love to join in one of these meets, and Thursdays could work for me; thanks for the invite. I'll give it a shot after the New Year!

As for the SoCal thread, I'm hoping it'll pick up, or I'm thinking of starting either an SD Social Thread (I've seen a bunch of new members sign up recently), or a SoCal Trusted Resources thread-- since I'd benefit from both.

This was back in 2006. It was a 2000 Gt. Normal stuff 3.73 gears. lowering springs and adjustable shocks, cat back exhaust and was chipped before i bought it. I came back from deployment and put one of the first set of Titanium coated headers on it along with the first aftermarket intake manifold setups made for the mod motor. Had them weld in some sub frame connectors and run it on the dyno. I was getting it ready to get a vortech supercharger after my next deployment and have the chip removed and replace that with custom tuning from them. It was pretty quick and handled like a go cart(may or may not have taken the 15N to the East gate off ramp at almost 60 and never lost traction even a little bit). Surprised a bunch of 03-04 cobra owners while i had it. But my next deployment got involuntarily extended and the I want a sport bike thing took off. I figured it was just a matter of time before I got in trouble with both so I sold my Mustang. The idiot that bought it wrecked it within the first month. Totaled it. RIP Mustang.

The way I see it is more then a week since your last California burrito is to long lol. I could sell the wife on going to SD to visit friends and getting burritos and In n Out...but the headers that may not fly.....actually i think i am going about this backwards... by the headers from Mike and race exhaust from Keith then ask for forgiveness with tasty food and pick both up on the way home.

Probably the kid was not very smart. I was a little skeptical selling it to him because it was the first 5spd he had ever drove. Had to teach him on the way to the Navy Fed on base. Here she was....He side swiped a guard rail on the drivers side after falling asleep and grinded it so long it had slices in the front fender, door and rear quarter.

Bike pics of what replaced it and the Tahoe that was the DD..till $5 gas.

Note I normally didn't ride in a 1pc suit...that was just to check how much speed it added. It was my roommates and he had just bought it. This was the weekend before I went to Iraq so I was riding all the bikes I could. Those 50's still have my biggest crash.

I only fear the width, I'm already accustomed to 15mpg haha.
Some of the trails out here can be on the narrow side -

Would the pedestal mounted lights be good for an A pillar?

Yes sir! That's what you'd want for an A pillar "ditch light" mount.

My brother has my truck otherwise I'd go snap a better picture but hopefully this helps illustrate it -
