auto dimming mirror issue

2011 Platinum Tundra

Hey everyone!

I have a 2011 Platinum and the auto dimming mirrors don't seem to be working? Does anybody have any idea how to check that the sensors are working? I tried pointing a flashlight on sensor facing the rear of the truck while I was driving and got nothing. I bought the truck last year with 54K miles and now I'm at 105K (I have a 150mile/day commute). I have power to the mirror because my garage door openers work fine. I have searched and can't find anyone with any input. Any help would be much appreciated.
