Auction truck

Hi, I am purchasing a used truck through an auction. The original sticker isn’t with the truck, so I’m trying to determine what options it has. I originally thought it had the towing package, but after reading this thread, it appears it does not. What I need to know is, will I be able to pull a small travel trailer without having the package and only the 4.6 motor? What about installing anything aftermarket?
I had to place a 10% deposit to hold the truck. But I don’t want something that will lead to frustration down the road.

I have a 2017 with the 4.6 and tow my 6K boat to and from the ramp a few times a year . I also wondered how the truck would handle the tow especially because the ramp is at the bottom of a very steep hill so the pull up was concerning but I was pleased to find how well the truck handles it , The motor had plenty of power and torque and never even struggled . You should be fine but I would definitely recommend a weight distribution hitch to limit rear end sag

2. With or without the towing package, it will do just fine towing a small travel trailer.
