    2016 SR5 Crewmax
    Hello everyone!!!

I brought home a new (to me) 2016 SR5 Crewmax a few weeks ago and I’ve found myself here a few times looking for advice so I figured I’d join the community... This is my first Tundra but 4th Toyota truck (2 Tacoma’s and one 1987 whatever they were called) so I’ve been pretty loyal to the brand.

Anyway, I’m posting today asking for advice on tires... here are the particulars:

    - I drive mostly on highways in upstate NY so I’m looking for a good looking AT tire (~90 miles a work day).
    - I moved to a Tundra because I’m looking to get a travel trailer, (I’ll keep the max weight around 8,000) but I’m looking for an LT tire.
    - MPG and ride comfort aren’t all that important to me, traction in all types of weather and safety when towing are.
    - I’ve had 2 sets of Hankook Dynapro ATM’s on my 2010 Tacoma and I thought they were pretty good all around but that’s a Tacoma and I didn’t tow much with it.

From research (mostly here) I’m considering the wild peak, duratracs, KO2, or the dynapro’s... Any other suggestions? And what do you run in similar circumstances (mostly highway, all weather, towing, somewhat “aggressive” looking...)

    Thanks for any help provided!!

I've tried a set of Firestone Destination AT and MT, Durtracs, and Michelin LTX. I just bought my 4th set of KO2s and I think they're the best.

I have had great luck with KO2s. This set is D rated LT 275 60 20 and seem to be a nice compromise between E rated and P rated.

    Michelins

If you can get beyond the need for the look of an AT, go with the Michelin defenders. Great all around tire for our truck. They don't look aggressive but that is the only downside.

I had KO2s and a TT that was about 5000#. I never had any issues.

6112-5160's, airbags with cradles, toytec shackles, 275-70-18 michelin at 2's, tonno pro tri fold, trd duals, trd cai, curt a16 5thwheel hitch, toyota bed mat [from last tundra], tinted windows and white paint cuz its the fastest color!
I agree on the michelins, but for me it is the Ltx AT2 in a 275-70-18 load range e.

The wildpeaks AT3W are absolutely phenomenal in all driving conditions. They have been the best tires I've owned

I have 275 65 R18’s now... how big can I go if I go with the defenders? Instead of the aggressive look I was initially going for I’m thinking maybe a bigger tire would look good as well.

    Thanks everyone for the input.
