I wonder what the stats are on a Lunar Rock Double Cab? For fun I put it in Carvana today to see if they were paying more then people were paying out the door for lightly used Tundras like on Tacomas.....it said I stumped the algorithm.

I only know of one other, and she’s on here too. I’ve still never seen another LR Tundra in person

I need these articles to be published after mine arrives...

I'm curious about the production numbers for the 21s when said and done. Pros are already a more limited run then throw in the COVID delays and a likely shorter production schedule in order to ramp up for the 22s. I would speculate the LR Pros and maybe all 21 Pros are going to be some of the lowest production ones ever. Wonder if we'll ever be able to actually find out.

There are people that can get the production numbers when it’s all said and done. I’ve seen numbers posted in threads on here in the past about total numbers of trucks by color (someone had asked about numbers of cement Tundra by year). It wasn’t specific to trim level, but just the color for LR will give you all you need to know.

I saw a Lunar Rock TRD Pro on the lot at my local dealership about a month ago. I was having some work done on my new ‘21 Army Green 1794. Nothing like feeling a little jealous after you drop 60k on a new truck. Disclaimer: there was a sold tag on the LR Pro

I locked in on mine yesterday!! Luna Rock exciting. Now the waiting begins. But I’m ok with the wait. I still have a nice 20 Pro 4runner to drive. I rather wait till winter is over to get it. End of April is a perfect time.

The problem is, that it's winter and not mating season for the Army Green Tundra and Cement Tundras, they prefer warmer temperatures and less snow. I suspect there will be more showing up in late spring...

Makes sense. Toyota strictly limits the number of new-color Pros they’ll produce every year. They may have already filled those numbers for 2021. I tried to build one on Toyota’s site a couple weeks ago (I do this often on various brands’ websites), and LR was unavailable as a color option.

This is very smart on Toyota’s part considering the insanely long production run of the current platform. Instead of driving up demand with lots of changes, new features, etc...they control the supply and keep the demand for the rarest Tundras very healthy. It benefits you LR owners down the road as well. As long as you didn’t pay significantly over MSRP, you’ll make more when you let it go.

Wonder if we will ever get to know production numbers.

As of this morning on Toyota website...

Try changing your zip code. In my market and another one near me, I can still build a LR on the website. No clue how up-to-date any of that data actually is, however.

Southeast Toyota shows 8 LR arriving between the end of March and Start of May within 100 miles of my dealer's zip (South Florida). Mine is 1 of those 8 based on the VIN I was provided. Wonder if the rest are also pre-sold.

Someone will be able to provide production numbers once the production year closes. It’s been reported in the past, and I’m sure at some point someone will be able to talk the right person into digging that info up... It will be interesting to see.

Glad I got mine in October 2020. Actually it was very easy to find. I just made a phone call to my dealership. They said they had one coming in. All I had to do was commit to purchasing it when it arrived.
