Anyone else think its a little wierd that that whole taillight doesn't light up? Having the upper half as just a blinker seems like a waste, would be better if it could be a taillight as well as the blinker or better yet have the whole taillight as a blinker and taillight. I'm sure it can be done with some wiring tweaks as well as maybe bulb changes but was wondering if anyone else as already done this before going at it from scratch.

Check out Meso Customs over in TacomaWorld.com. I purchased his total twilight stage 1 for Tacoma a year back but I'm in the process of getting a new tundra and I think they will fit. I am removing them before my trade. It makes the whole red section brake and taillight and then he uses a switchback for the reverse light to be both reverse and amber turn signal. Unreal quality workmanship. PM him and ask him if it will work as I have not been able to test it yet.

One of mine was cracked and I didn't realize until I went to replace it that it was filled with water.

A new set of Recons is the best tail light mod that I could find. Easy install... looks like it's a 2021 model. :monocle:

I spoke to MESO and he is designing a Tundra kit but no ETA I'll definitely buy one if and when he does release it. I was looking at his Tacoma kit and it's pretty ingenious. I could definitely make one myself rather than splicing wires but would need to find male and female connectors to create the harness. Does anyone know the connector part numbers? Possibly @Roman ?

Yeah he is so busy with Tacoma’s that’s Tundras have been on the back burner. What I like about his kit is he even made the resistors pnp. I have my set from him and can look at it this week and see if I have part#s on it.

Apparently resistors are no longer included in his kits and can be purchased separately as he has found most trucks don't need them. I'm guessing the connectors from the Taco kit are different from the Tundra or else he probably would not need to design a separate kit, I could be wrong though. I have found the wiring harness part that includes all three connectors to the bulbs, if worst comes to worst I might order one of those to hack up, not sure how far back the connector to that harness is though, haven't removed the taillight yet to investigate.

I’ll take pics this week. Once I get the truck I will test out the harness to see but connections look to be the same. I have the kit with the included pnp resistor as I bought them on his first release.

I think I paid around $600 shipped. This was February 2019. These fit like a glove, not gaps, and easy to install.

Awesome! I can't wait to hear how it turns out. I had been thinking about just placing a 7440NA bulb in the reverse light position and using some aux lights as my reverse lights for a while now but this seems like a great solution so I'm hoping this existing kit works. Much cleaner setup this way.

As JousuaA suggested why not do something like this that incorporates your desire for Red, Amber and White?

yeah tacky aside, i only consider them from a Safety standpoint, but that doesn't seem to matter to many, oh well to each their own, eh?

Those are pretty sweet. I’ve seen some off branders on Amazon. Was afraid to try them though. Spyder makes one also.
