Anyone that has an ARE overland cap can you tell me if the bedliner material is like Line-X or smoother? Is it going to grab and pull microfiber cloths? Merino wash mitts? Thanks.

I don't have one, but I'm an A.R.E. dealer. It's a thin layer with pretty much the same texture as LineX. It will pull fibers from wash mits and microfiber towels. I use a chamois cloth to wash the liner portion.
