Excited to share this with the rest of the Tundra owners.

OEM stereo touch capable Apple Carplay

I found this product on Youtube and already contacted their sales team in Korea to purchase this product.

They sent me their Amazon link.
In my mind worth it. If you ever had car play you understand.

Nice, but expensive. I just got the beat sonic screen mirror kit. My wife pushed on the radio screen and says it’s dumb that it doesn’t work.

I as well have Beat Sonic Front Camera Harness and their expensive camera.
Also contacted Beat Sonic about this Car Play product and suggested they get something like it or resell this one for US market.

Just so damn happy that some one is innovating. Honestly I think the Front camera Harness and the camera sold in US is a bit over priced. As well as the Mirror kit in my mind is WAY over priced. So I would rather pay more for the real deal.

I would still go my Kenwood route for that price.

You might be right. But I want all my OEM features that came with the stereo. Kenwood headunit is around 500 but you also need the Datalink Maestro and then convert the rear camera voltage. It can be done of cause since everyone has done it. However I am sure more and more products like this will pop up. Perhaps even get cheaper. I just want to stay OEM look.

This looks strictly worse than an aftermarket HU, though about $100-200 cheaper if you factor in a Maestro RR and harness

Dont forget an AMP if you go aftermarket stereo. Might as well get an amp.

Also if you want to keep OEM Look as much as possible. Aftermarket headunits are fine. Nothing wrong. I just want OEM.

Deck power only is usually 22w RMS 50w Peak x4 on any aftermarket HU, which is a significant improvement vs non-JBL stock. I like the idea, but for $430 it's way, way too expensive.

For an "OEM" look I'd hold out for something like a Rosen unit if they ever update to support Carplay, or even going with the Tesla unit

    seems to be expensive indeed
I might be going with 12.1" Tesla-Style Android Radio but only if it can support the same wires as my OEM stereo for my front camera

I just want to see where all those boxes go. I love how the comments basically tell you to figure that out. Sure, an audio installer could figure that out, but if I'm doing this in my driveway, it better be cut and dry!
The Beat Sonic looks nice and a little easier...

The biggest problem with Tesla unit is that it doesn’t support Apple CarPlay

But would the beat-sonic front camera harness continue to work with Tesla or Android head units? Wondering if harness back of stereo and OEM stereo functionality is retained.

its just a matter of time before someone designs and produces an affordable Apple Car Play interface.

    Greg,
Were you able to order this? If so, how did you do it, and also what was the cost? I saw the YouTube video and was able to get to the website, however it is all in Korean (including the price!) so I couldn’t read any of it and was not sure how to order it. The system looks great: might be exactly what I have been looking for. Is there a US phone number or email address in English that I could contact about this?

    Thanks for your help!
    Scott

No Scott - same dilemma as you. I am going to reach out to OEM Audio + to see if those bright guys can make or find someone who can design and produce one.

Dasaita Android head unit does all this and more. Sell your Beat Sonic front camera harness as this supports a front cam out of the box. Install is easy with plug n play canbus harness. Several of us have installed it here:
