Wondering what it looks like under there vs the factory flinstone version for non platinum/ 1794's and if it will be retrofittable. Thanks!

Are you talking about the automatic bed step? If so, I can take a few pics.

I wonder if the existing wiring is there on other models (like the limited) so that a power bed step and power running boards could be added later. Can anyone with a limited or other trim confirm that wiring is there?

I’m not sure about the wiring. I have the Platinum that didn’t come with power running boards/power step, but included this option to the sale of it. So dealer is going to provide both once Toyota provides ability to get them. Does anyone know the Toyota Part numbers required ti get both the power running boards and power step? I keep wondering if dealer is not ordering them for me, hoping I will be satisfied with the TRD running board that came on my Platinum model.

The part number has not been made available yet. Checked with the local Toyota dealership parts depot every week. Called and even showed up at the door of Amp Research in Tustin California also with no luck.

I’ll keep working on this accessory as well and let you know what I find out. I did see that Toyota does have specific part numbers that add up to the power running boards and power step, however, the motor assemblies that drive the running boards and bed step show that they are not available using www.parts.toyota.com.
I was able to find part numbers online for all the related parts, but it appears that the motor assemblies, side auto step show “product not available”, the main part number for the Power Running Boards is 517010C020, the motor assemblies listed are 857600C040 and 857600C050. The power step assembly main part number is 523600C010 and the motor assembly listed is 857600C060 which also says “Product Not Available”.
One of my local Toyota dealerships looked up the three motor assemblies and said that these motor assemblies were discontinued parts. Makes no sense to me since these running boards and power step will only fit the 2022 Tundras. I can’t imagine that the motors are already discontinued unless they are failing on the new Tundras, which I have not heard of any so far.
I know that Toyota.com website is still allowing to build and provide the Power running boards and power step as an accessory on the Platinum/1794 trims, so why don’t they have this accessory available for their dealership? Must be another supply chain micro-chip shortage issue or manpower issue with Toyota.

Or their supplier (amp research) doesnt want toyota selling these so they can sell them directly to you under their umbrella. Those of you holding your breath for toyota oem running boards added post build are most likely not going to ever get them, or pay 2x more than AMP will charge you.

    resurrecting an old thread...

I was able to get the Dealer to add the rear step to my 1794, but it isn't powered. Is there a way to just add the powered component to the installed step, or are they two completely separate parts?
