Anyone with pics with a 4" or 6" lift with Shackles on top of the lift height?

I'm looking at adding a pair of either +2 or +3 Shackles on top of my 4" lift and would like to see what the rake would look like with the back raised 1" or 2". It seems most people add the shackles to level out the truck. But I would like to raise the rear up and leave the front alone.
Anyone have a similar setup with pics by chance?

Correct. I've spoke with Toytec, bilstein and coachbuilder and all said it would be fine. But all of them are trying to sell me shackles lol. So any input from anyone NOT trying to sell me something would be very welcomed!

Not to sure.. I've asked a ? Like that before.. all said it's not good to use blocks and also raise with shackles.. they say use the new leaf springs, but I dont know I think it would be ok maybe just not as good a set up as new leaf and upgraded shackles

LOL so a 3" block is better than a 1" and shackles? That is interesting. Because the Pro Comp 6" stage one is the exact same setup as mine except it has the 3" block.

I ordered Toytec shackles for mine. Ill be putting them on either later this week or early next and will post some pics. I dont see any problems with doing shackles in addition to blocks. Upgraded leafs would probably be better, but ive had blocks on all my lifted trucks and to date never had any issues.

It's my daily driver. No plans to run it off road. Maybe the occasional camping trip. That's about it. And pull my bass boat to the lake.

Our trucks already have "shackles" on it they are just flimsier the aftermarket. So putting a little beefier shackle to gain an inch or so I don't think would hurt.

Gino did you put shackles on yours or just leave your setup the way it came?

Oh that's right cause you had a stage 1 in to begin with right? Does yours sit lower in the rear or pretty even?

Incorrect. Most people don't add shackles to level out the truck. They raise the front to do so. Assuming your existing kit doesn't bulldog.

Let's pull Dave's name out of this list as he will still be able to put food on the table for his family without your business / purchase of rear shackles.

Let's also assume Dave, Bilstein, and Toytec know more collectively than the sum of the post in this thread.

Appears you know what rear lift +2/+3 will add and also sounds like you're GTG.

No one said that they didn't know more than us on this thread. He was just asking the simple question of what guys who had 4 -6 in lifts thought and if any of us were running these and how they road.

Maybe not most people, but a lot do. I've search plenty on the topic and all I could find were people adding height to the front, wether that be with shocks of whatever and at the same time adding shackles to raise the rear height to the new level of the front. I've search. I know they sit higher in the rear from the factory as well.

I know what +2/+3 will add as far as heigths. I am looking for actual photos showing that height difference. As stated in my OP. Thank you for your replay tho.

So adding shackles "to level it out" on top of the kit is what is confusing to just me I guess.

1.75 + rake ensure proper TC as I understand.

Sorry for making it sound so confusing. I'm probably wording it wrong I'm sure. But feel free to search for lifted tundras utilizing shackles. Most are raised up to be much higher than 4-6" and use the shackles to raise the rear to level. I'm not referring to stock or leveled tundras with shackles added. I'm referring to 4-6" lifted (leveled from the lift alone) with shackles added to reproduce the factory rake.

Not a crazy difference but brought it up about an inch to level it. My driveway slopes down towards the rear so it makes it look like it still has a bit of a sag.

With most lifts.. they are setup to measure level, this is great for numbers but not so great for the traction control, weight distribution and looks. With the hood line being higher than the bed sides adding a touch of extra height in the rear is ideal. We also want to eliminate the side to side flex thats happening and correct the way the rear leafs cycle. They're very bound up, resulting in the bouncy or choppy feel. Our Coachbuilder shackles and poly bushings can be used with larger leaf packs, Blocks, AAL's, air bags or just to improve the ride of even a stock truck. Hope this helps
