My new Iridium came with an external antenna for a vehicle. But the cord isn’t really long enough to reach across from the middle of the dash, up the A pillar, etc.

wondering if anyone else here is using either an Iridium or Inmarsat in their trucks and if you have a special mounting location or external antenna on it.

new to sat phones. Just looking for ideas. It is not my primary comms device in the vehicle; too expensive for that. But will be used often off the grid.

If it helps with suggestions, it’s an Iridium Extreme 9575

Can you share the product you're using?
I always carry a Garmin inreach and just connect it to my phone if I need to get out.

i did in the original post. I’m using an Iridium 9575 Extreme. Needed an actual phone instead of an inreach type messenger.
