Just to understand what may have happened. Did you have a battery charger charging it while you were flashing, and turn off any lights and unneeded accessories? If the voltage got too low it’s possible it could have bricked it. I usually run my charger at 8 amps while flashing. Also, have you been unhooking the battery for 5 minutes after each new flash? That’s something you could try as well, just to see.

My truck is on a battery tender most of the time so I never really thought to hook it up to a charger and ProSpeed never mentioned to do any of that. I've been unhooking the battery before each new flash per ProSpeed. I've done a ton of flashes up until now with no issues. Not sure what changed this time. I made a post on the HP Tuners forum as well as reached out to ProSpeed... Hoping someone can save this thing.

Sorry man, hopefully it’s just something stupid that happened and you can get it figured out. Here is my flashing instructions from DAP that were fairly detailed just for future reference. Prospeed isn’t as used to dealing with customers who are doing the flashing themselves so they may not think to mention some of these things just yet. I think the voltage has to be above 11.7v or something like that. May be totally unrelated however. Let us know what you figure out.

Do they use the RTD Flasher program as well?

VCM editor is what is used to flash the files via a MPVI2. VCM editor is what is used to data log. Is RTD just another software?

They send me RTD Tune files that I must flash through the RTD Flasher. These file types wont open in VCM Editor.

Are you aware of any tuners in your area that use VFTuner? It has a Force Flash function that if I'm understanding it correctly, should essentially "unbrick" your ECU. If memory serves, this will install a base factory N/A tune. From there you should be able to flash your latest ProSpeed tune.

I spoke to Matt Wilson, of VF Tuners, and he says the ECU I have is one of the harder ones to unbrick and he'd need it on his bench to do so and it would require opening up. I'm waiting to hear back from him if it's something he's willing to do for me.

In the meantime, I've got another ECU on the way just so I'm prepared to start over if needed.

Those SDHQ traction bars are pretty slick. Almost 3x the price of caltracs but I guess that’s the price of no lost offroad capability.

Not sure of them needing adjusting. @nobodyintexas has the caltracs, maybe he can say if those do or not.

Whatever this forum told me to do
    yup.

Caltracs need about a month of dialing in.

which means my tired ass had to get on the ground and adjust them.

    they are fine now.

as advertised, that contribute to proper adolescent driving techniques. zero wheel hop.

If I could simply swap in SDHQ's...I would in a heartbeat.

But I have a sworn oath to never touch those damn leaf spring again*.

if you are deciding between them...get the SDHQ's. disregard the $'s.

*or if la-z-boy markets that creeper that will stand you back up.

Worked with HP Tuners back and forth yesterday regarding my ECM. No luck so far. Waiting to hear back again on next steps.

Speaking of leaf springs and traction bars and all that. Any of y'all swapped the whole rear out to a 4-link setup?

Sorry to hear the ECU is giving you trouble still.

Who makes the four links you are talking about?

No one makes a direct bolt-on kit I don't believe but everyone I know that's deep in the automotive world (friend is an Engineer at Ford Racing for one) is telling me it's the way to go.

Oh. The one's I've seen are bolt ons but for dune running. If you find a bolt on kit I would be interested in looking at the specs. What I'm really interested in is a bolt on lowering system that can go back up to normal height for offroad/towing. Lowering springs and bags wont work for me. A company makes them for Fords but it is pricey; not sure I'm sold on the implementation either.

Nice and easy to find anything imaginable for a Ford. He's been showing me all sorts of sweet stuff for them as well as the Chevy Tahoe he just did a 5-link on.

So HP Tuners got back to me and let me know the PCM is dead and nothing can be done to fix it and I must buy a new one. Thankfully I already ordered one, so now we wait for it to get here.
