Im going 1 3/4", mainly for fitment. The difference (between the two sizes) is negligible with little to no gains in the tundra. I will be ordering my ARH in the next few weeks and just need to find a good place to ceramic coat them.

Mine is setup so around the time it makes any boost it starts to richen out, probably conservative but I'd rather run overly rich than lean anywhere. At WOT iirc I'm at 11.7afr.

Are you planning to supercharge it at some point? I just know DAP recommends the 1 7/8 for SC.

Whatever this forum told me to do
    just killing time-

Now that we have had multiple days of cool moist air in Houston, you can tell the blower likes it and feels like it is producing more power.

it scootches sideways much easier when you do a left hand turn. yes, that is my metric.

I'm taking the beast to Toyota to install the Trans cooler. This should be fun.

I'm going by today to confirm they are ok to do it. they said no problem

it's all toyota parts. nick's kit. setrab

    D3 was swamped.

Im waiting for the Gen5 out of Whipple (if that does not happen in the next year, I will probably think about getting the Eaton TVS).

If anything you may see a 1-4 increase in hp/trq somewhere above 5k rpms. You will not see restrictions in the 1 3/4 vs 1 7/8 (if you can find any restrictions it would be negligible for the 5.7). Im choosing my path for fitment and to avoid hotspots.

Weird. My trans cooler was installed by my dealership. I didn’t ask anything about the warranty though.

they balked at the setrab cooler....it was not toyota.

    Christmas lights are up.

Streets were moist - could not do 0-60. soon.....very soon

AND! I'm having the trans cooler put on by a local shop.

...it is worth the price of the S/C install to see the googly eyes when you open the hood.

wait till we all start getting HP Tuners on our S/C'd Tundras.

    should be a hoot.

question...How would @hagrid would have responded? I aspire to that.

Fellas, just got IPT valve body put in, it makes shifting real snappy when giving it, I was worried it may be too harsh during daily driving, but it feels like stock, but when you give 'er, it shifts like suppose to.

Now, just gotta find time over the break to install the s/c kit.

Glad to hear, that may be in my future as well. I heard great things about it. Mind if I ask what is the total cost of that assuming you send in your stock valve body core? And sorry if you already mentioned, which SC did you go with?

I bought mine off the board, so I did not have to send in core, that also means my core will be up for sale, may be a chain core-exchange can happen to minimize down times!

I paid a shop to install it along with suspension and few small stuff, ipt calls 2 to 4 hrs for the job.

First to second feels like a dsg/pdk if you are familiar with them, it can be smooth as stock if take off slowly, but when giving it, it shifts like dsg/pdk up to 4th, supposedly can shave 2 tenths in the 1/4, and should help with longevity.

I went with magnuson, was at the right place and right time.

Looks like I'm doing a full build with the Whipple. Going to a 6.8L, Cams, ported heads, fuel system and rear diff. I like my Magnuson, but I want to make about 800 to the wheels.

Is it going to handle mildly until you hit it, or will this thing be twitchy and loud as hell?

It's going to be a bit of a sleeper, but the way it looks now and after the engine is installed it will be hard to get away with that. It will be loud at WOT, but shouldn't be bad at idle or driving around.
