Agreed - both blowers accomplish what they set out to do. and the Mag is using marketing math.

The lean codes are a non-issue now. it's purring like a kitten.
It was a simple install error - using the wrong pipe clamp.

Are you expecting it to get on the Dyno today?

dunno...I'm sure they will run a baseline for stage 1.

    then, install pulley & injectors

Then, write a couple files to market to the hive.

I'd like for them to offer a discount to the Tundras.com folks. I'll parley something.

Expecting it back Friday afternoon. or thereabouts.

Wowza! I didn't know that they got it carb approved for us CA peeps! Thats great.
After its paid off and if i dont want to jump to the next gen i want to supercharge it....i thought my only option was Magnusson. This is great news, now just have to get whipple and procharger onboard.

Procharger doesn't produce comparable low end torque.

    Whipple is nice.

I was curious about prochargers and reached out to them after posting, got the same response as i did a year and a half ago:
"Thank you for your interest in a ProCharger Supercharger system for your Tundra. We are currently wrapping up the 4Runner and Tacoma R&D process at this time and we are planning to offer a supercharger system for the 5.7L Tundra but the availability date is yet to be determined. "

I believe so. For a truck it’s hard to beat that nice linear power curve from a positive displacement supercharger.

Well guys I’m going stage two on the Harrop also. Wife is AWESOME and told me to order what I wanted! I already received my 80mm pulley from Harrop and ordered the Prospeed intake last Wednesday. Prospeed is sold out on the throttle body adapter for the RCF throttle body. Hell intake and pulley should get me where I want to be anyway! I don’t want to blow it up! NobodyinTexas I can’t wait to see your stage two results!!! I haven’t put mine on the dyno but my new tuner showed me how to estimate hp. Roughly 420 at the wheels. Stock air box is too restrictive causing us to keep things tuned down! Now I can really use the 650s I bought without being so conservative! Good luck everyone!!!

Here is the information on how to estimate hp if anyone is interested. I just can’t afford doing a dyno right now with all the parts I have installed on my truck. I’m loving the Harrop though and I’m just getting started with modding it! What is the average price for a dyno anyway? I’ve never put one on a dyno.31B09AF4-41C2-4476-801A-1E36C8DBCA84.jpg

If the Intake ends up being a limiting factor for me I think I’ll try and get the magnuson intake box and lid. It’s a different size filter than the stock one of course so I’ll need to get a high flow filter to fit it as well, all in should be about $300 for it. The magnuson is 4” vs the stock 3.5”, and it alleviates the issue of the MAF flow reading limit. Im interested to see if D3 finds an issue with it on @nobodyintexas truck as @Stangman tuner did on his.

Yeah I’ve heard from two tuners it’s restrictive. I just wanted my supercharged truck to run well. Another 650 after spending 8 on the supercharger is hard to swallow but in the end I believe it will be worth it! Isn’t 650 engine hp the max on our trucks to be safe? I thought I read that somewhere or heard it. I believe 500 wheel will be a blast! Mine is pretty stout now. I just wish exhaust was not so expensive! Hell it’s around 4000 dollars for headers to the back. I have to have cats due to emission testing.

It’s pretty expensive also. I will for sure have to wait until next year for exhaust modification! I have a Flowmaster 50 dual in dual out now that sounds pretty good.

Good Luck! That’s what I’m hoping to clear. 500 wheel. Crewmax is a heavy truck and needs all the help it can get lol! I’ve heard going stage two helps the power kick in at lower rpms faster. We shall see right? I can’t wait! I just installed all new braking (Powerstop 36 ceramic kit) to help it stop better! Hell it was only 80 dollars more than replacing it back with factory rotors and pads!

Yours might be a different number??? Since you have a newer truck than I do. I priced factory replacements at Advanced Auto and Napa. My truck stops a lot faster now!

Still doing a lot of research on which route. If this is true I will probably go with the Whipple Gen5 for the Tundra in the 3.0L plus.

Is it being released for Tundra?

I know Eaton was working on a TVS 3100 but I don't think its been licensed out yet.

I’d be surprised to see any manufacturers offer the TVS3100 for the tundra. My impression was the 1900 is a little small for the 5.7, the 2650 is if anything a bit too large unless your building it up but it still performs nicely. Ive seen it mentioned without any great technical details as to why, but some think the best choice for keeping the blower in its efficiency range on the tundra for the most RPMs would have been the TVS2300. I would love to hear Harrops reasoning for using the 2650 for the tundra. The titan 5.6 kit uses the 2300 and the ram 5.7 kit uses the 2650. I’m thinking maybe they just wanted to utilize it for the fancy new 170 degree rotor design vs the 2300’s 160 degree.

Yes, I asked if they had plans for a 2021 tundra to use the Gen5 Whipple (like the 3.0L).

Interesting insights. This is why I was interested in seeing a map for the Harrop blower; Eaton's map was the best I could find.

I could see Magnuson selling the TVS3100 while keep their current blower; XL and standard. Harrop is trickier since the form factors are similar and the displacement is fairly close. I would like to see maps for the 3000s and 3100s. Edit: Though I think the efficiency islands will be slightly high and to the right on a Tundra application.
