Long story short, need to replace the glass on the drivers door. Anyone done this?

Safelite quoted me $400+.....i can get the glass for $200...think i'd rather do it on my own.

Doesn't look to bad. It was easy to get the door panel off of my second gen, and go from there.

Sucks your doing this on such a new truck.

Yea, i've had the door panel off when I did some sound deadening, that's easy, i'm more curious about slipping it in there. This one is my own dumb fault, I scratched the shit out of it (not even going to get started on how, as I don't like being judged ;) ). But i'm OCD enough that the scratches are going to drive me bonkers on a brand new truck.

Sean, I hear you, I have it too, but the window isn't broken so it's not something that'd be covered.....plus, a $200 pain of glass for fucking up something on my own, i'll eat the cost. But i'm not giving safelite an extra $200 to install.

Ok... follow a gravel truck on the freeway until one falls off and hits your windshield. ;) AAA made me pay $100 deductible to replace mine.

Depending on how bad, the glass can be polished out. Maybe worth looking into at least.

I've been polishing my stones for over 50 years. Frequency has decreased a bit...
