My wife and me love our Toyota’s. Peace of mind and reliability and cost of ownership. Three Siennas, a Previa, and my first Toyota my dad gave me was a 1976 Celica. Now my wife fell in love with a 2011 Venza. Two wheel drive and 3.5 six. 110k and salesman told me the 3.5 have a timing chain not the timing belt which I was used to with the three Siennas with the 3.3 engine. We take delivery Monday. Any thoughts? Thanks. D

Wife's 2wd RAV4 v6 has trouble putting the power down. Imagine that. Venza is on the Camry platform so it'll probably do better.

Ex wife drives the 2011 V6 AWD XLE that we bought a year used. No issues and always ran good, not sure how many miles are on it now but it's only had oil changes, brakes, and tires. Plenty of power and decent mpg. Definitely has some weird blind spots but all in all a pretty nice car.

The AWD and front wheel drive venza's use the Lexus rx350 drivetrain.the is the reason for the reliability.

My wife has an 2009 AWD V6 Limited. She absolutely loves it! I do too because I haven't had to do too much to it other than regular maintenance in the 120K+ miles that we've owned it.

There are some blind spots but nothing bad enough to keep us from our plan to have the kids drive it and getting her something new/new to her next year.

It doesn't appear that Toyota makes the Venza anymore, unless I missed it somewhere on their website. Also interesting is that with the exception of the 4Runner, every vehicle Toyota offers in a V6 comes with the same V6, only with different tunings.

My parents had one and they loved it. It was fun to drive and never had any problems. I wanted it for my wife, but it was a little smaller than she wanted. I would have been happy to take it home if it suited her needs. They did discontinue them, so resale won’t be as high as your typical Toyota’s though. I’m sure she will be very happy! Congrats

I had a 2010. I had the driver front axle replaced twice. Transfer-case once. Front wheel bearings once. Front brake rotors once. All within 3 years and less than 30k miles. Traded it right before warranty ran out. It was a pain in the ass to get anything warrantied, they tried to charge me every single time. I went to probably 10 different dealers across the country (I moved every year I had it) and every single one gave me a hard time.
Could've probably been lemon law'd, but that was too much effort for me.
I loved the interior and it was great to drive, lots of power, when it wasn't making a horrible noise in the front end.
