Not sure how it got there but I somehow managed to get what looks and feels like some sort of epoxy glue on my paint. I tried goo gone which did nothing. I’m afraid to try with things I’m not familiar with a ruin the paint. Anyone have experience removing this stuff?

try a plastic scraper n see if it flakes off. start on the small pieces first. if your paint was either waxed or fairly dirty it should pop off as it possibly didn't bond to the paint.

If that doesn’t work, you might try a heat gun or hair dryer to soften it up and fingernail it gently.

Sorry that happened to your truck. Shut sucks

Maybe a little WD-40 and pick at it carefully with your finger nail or plastic scraper

Heat gun to soften it up then try to take it off with a plastic scraper and some Goo Gone.

Could it possibly be calcified bubble gum?

I like to start with the easiest method, then work towards to more difficult.

Seriously, how do you know this is epoxy on your door? You tried the finger nail removal test?

Tried the finger nail method and failed. Also tried some wd40 and again not luck. I’m 90% sure it’s epoxy. It’s got a smooth texture and is hella hard. Gonna try heat gun and hope for the best.

If it is epoxy, heat should soften it.
For what it’s worth, most chemicals made to remove epoxy residues will also take your paint off.
Good luck, and I hope you find something to get it off with!

If it is epoxy, then its basically impervious to all chemicals (the beauty of epoxy). Heat may help. The paint behind the epoxy might pop of with the specks. Use a touch up pen to conceal afterwards.

I would take it and get it sanded out by a detailer or body shop.

From the photos it really looks like you ran over some dubble bubble gum and it hadened like a rock. I got some on my front plastic inner fender liner and had to use a metal scraper to get it off and it still didnt fully come out. Ill see if I can find some photos I took of it

You very well could’ve run over a tube of construction epoxy. You may have to tape off everything but the epoxied areas. Scrape it down as low as possible without damaging the paint. And then you may have to slowly sand down the epoxy with wet dry sandpaper. Do not attempt if you are unsure of yourself. You would basically be trying sand only the high points. Starting with the least aggressive grit sandpaper that is effective and stepping finer and finer. Then polishing and waxing the area.
