    The film filter out a lot of light... I did a lighter shade a long time ago in my old GTI... It looked badass, but the output sucked.

    Just like @1BadTundra said, they won't be very bright, that is just like putting window tint over your headlight.

    These headlights aren't illegal... The light that comes through them will look like a yellowish halogen dim 8000k HID look. Remember those blue bulbs made to simulate HID? That kind of output.
