Had some snow last week. Didn’t slide around too much but it was good. Something about a dark colored truck in a white background looks good to me.

We got almost 8" just northwest of Austin. It was pretty awesome.

Nice, I didn’t get that much. Only 2 inches. Lame but enough for the kids to roll it around.

I'm surprised a Texan even owns a toque.

Nice job on the snowmen, right down to the carrot nose.

When we have received snow it has always been less than 3". This storm was something different. We had snowmen and snow angels up and down the neighborhood. It was awesome!

Down here, near Galveston, we didn't get shit. Hasn't snowed here since 2017 and even that wasn't but an inch or so. It's funny, my extended family in Minnesota hates snow. And here in SE Texas, my wife and children wish we would get it every year.

A remedy for that is to come up to Canada for a couple weeks in the winter , when you get back you might not wish for snow for a couple years . lol

Well, I spend plenty of time in Minnesota and Colorado, so I get my fill. Still, I do love a good snowfall!

I work with a guy who grew up in Northern Iowa. He said he hated snow. He said he got so sick of it he packed all of his stuff, strapped a snow shovel to the top of his car and headed south. He didn't stop until he pulled into South Lake, Texas when someone pointed to the shovel and said "what is that?". He said that was the moment he knew he had found his new home.

you find any duck hunter down here and they got multiple toques/beanies. I think I have 3, but being damn near hairless on my head it gets cold quick . We got about 6" of snow over towards college station. I did not like the drive into work since people were still tailgating, brake checking, etc.

Actually I guess it’s not so much the snow but the cold temperatures that come with it .

No stranger to snowfall growing up in Northern Michigan and I usually enjoy it when it snows down here because it happens so rarely but there was too much stress associated with the snowfall last week. I took one pic of the house and spent the rest of the week walking inside and outside, checking faucets and spraying home-made ice melt into my tankless water heater condensate line. Can't wait to see my electric bill...

    My wife took these pictures...

It seemed real enough to me. The snow is actually turning to a gas. Gizmodo explains it well:
    https://gizmodo.com/tiktok-users-are-burning-snowballs-in-viral-videos-to-p-1846322841
Of course that could be just what those sneaky Chinese weather manipulators want us to think. Better yet, it's what those really, really sneaky Canadians want us to believe... I'm on to you all up there...

Not often I see a twin tundra on here. Lookin sexy over yonder.

In atx here, I juuuust got my water back on last night. Had it on through the snow; then the last 4 days of melting, city shut off our neighborhood. Had plenty of drinking water in storage, but those dishes and dirty clothes were certainly piling up.

Edit: pic is in NM not austin, and I hope the snow wasn't chemical filled, I used it to cool cocktails all week.

I think it got to 77 here. 70 degrees warmer than the low a week ago.

El Arroyo pretty much summed it up today:

The main part was built in the 1890’s. Somebody added on to it in the early 1990’s. It’s been a great house.
