I was out washing the truck and noticed that one of the panels has delaminated from the foam and there's an air (or maybe water) gap.
I bought it back in August of 2017 from svcustoms.com.

On the backflip warranty page it says:
"The BAK Guarantee only applies to tonneau cover purchases through BAKflip.com, TonneauCoversWorld.com, and RealTruck.com. BAK covers purchased from a third party are not eligible for the BAK Guarantee. All third-party returns, including warranty claims, should be initiated through the online retailer from whom they were purchased."

I guess i'm going to reach out to svcustoms tomorrow and see what they have to say.
I'm wondering if anyone has gone through the warranty process?

I did a warranty claim and it was a serious pain in the butt. They resisted replacing the cover as much as possible, only offering me a 10% discount on a new one. Mine was only 4 months old, too.

I’ll never buy another Bakflip product.

I couldn’t even get them to warrantee a brand new MX4 that was leaking at all the seals that connect the panels (not the four corners). It was two weeks old. I sent a ridiculous amount of photos and their supervisors were of zero help.

I also will never buy another BakFlip product.

They must have changed things. I had an MX4 that was a bit rusty and leaked a little and I did a warranty claim at the advice of another member and all they wanted was my purchase receipt and address. I live in B.C and they shipped it up here within a week. Sold the old one too as they didn't want it back, easy. This was 3 years ago.

I did with my Undercover Flex.
My panels were leaking pretty bad after 18 months.
Sent them pics and they told me that had redesigned the cover since I had bought mine.
They sent me a new cover and asked me to destroy the old one, which I did.
    Easy peasy..
Just in case anyone is thinking about buying one.

I did with my MX4 as the seals on the side started coming up. Super easy, they made me drill 4 holes in the cover I had so it wasn’t resealable and they sent me a new one. Had a really good experience. It was only a couple years old tho.

I purchased it here thru a group buy so not sure if they would consider it from a third party or not.

Did they make you send in pictures to prove you drilled those holes?

Yes of course. I made sure I drilled holes a perfect size that way my buddy can put some plugs in. He siliconed them in and is still using it lol

I brought it third party but they did not say a word about that. That was never an issue and I spent hours on the phone with BakFlip. Mine was literally used a hand full of times when it started leaking…

I wish you the best OP in all honesty but that has become one BS company. My family and I have owned many BakFlip products which were excellent. But I did hear they were bought out before COVID struck.

So i called SVcustoms yesterday, they were super nice, but looked it up and the Bakflip G2 has a 3yr warranty, i'm at 4yr 7mo....i was really hoping it had a 5yr warranty. They said to try to give backflip a call and maybe i'll get lucky.

That kinda took the wind out of my sails as far as hoping for a warranty replacement, i'm sure i'll have to fill out a bunch of stuff, give the reciept and pictures and end up being denied. I'll still jump through the hoops, but with what others have said with customer service being spotty after covid, i'm not holding my breath.

So the G2 has only a 2 year warranty, and i had bought it back in 2017, I knew it was going to be a long shot, but when i saw @Tundra2Yak post about his great experience with his no questions asked replacement, i thought i'd give it a shot to see what they would do for me.

I gave them a call and talked with customer service and they gave me a list of things to respond to their email with, and i did. Low and behold, this morning i see an email saying:
Pretty happy that they are doing this as its well out of warranty. My first thought was to lightly destroy the cover for the photos, but in reality, its not going to be worth anything to anyone, so i'll probably try my hand at hatchet throwing or something. I will probably try to salvage any hardware that could be re-used off it.

mine seems to be experiencing the same type of issue. it is small and purely aesthetic so it's not worth my time to pursue but was a surprise none the less.

You're welcome, glad I could give back. Post up when the new cover's installed. Looks like you'll reuse the rails and hardware from the old one based on what they're sending. Should be an easy install...hopefully.

So what's the warranty process like? 2 weeks ago I purchased my BAK MX4 through Amazon as they had a very good price, it was $900 Well now is leaking in 2 different places and I check the install, is not that.

And man what a disappointment. This is my second BAK purchase and my first one broke in less than a year, horrible design.

I have no idea why I keep buying this junk again :(

I've warrantied a few BakFlips through the local vendor we purchase them from with no issues. They have always just sent a replacement.

Leaking has been an issue with a few, one collapsed in with just a little bit of weight on it.

I just put a warranty claim in file with BAK so lets see how it goes. Will keep you updated.

Do those things come out easily? I would hate to undo the rails and all that stuff?

Undercover was great with me too. I had an Undercover Armor Flex that had warranty issue from the rubber "seals" between the panels developing a large gap. After first time, they replaced entire cover. A year later same issue developed and they refunded my money. I had to destroy the old cover.

The BAK folks are being very very difficult as they want SPECIFIC photos of where the water is coming through. The water can be traveling from everywhere so how in the hell am I gonna pinpoint the specific location. I escalated to a manager and if this doesn't get solved I am returning this SOB.

My Bakflip cover was dealer installed when I bought my truck. Well, like others, I had issues a couple months after I bought the truck and I filed a claim through Bakflips warranty department. They denied it completely because I wasn't the one who bought the cover. Really crappy in my opinion.
