Anyone change up their decals/badges... Location, colors, etc?

I'm thinking of changing all (or most) of the factory badges and decals.
I have the stock black-out overlays which absolutely makes my skin crawl. Putting something cheesy OVER something ugly is a sin, but I digress.
I'm thanking about replacing the SR5 badge on the C pillar with the TRD offroad badge from the 4runner. Possibly moving the square iForce badge to the hood or fender and painting in the letters with red, white and blue... That kinda stuff.
So, has anyone done something similar?

I think most just paint them to not have the chrome. I’ve been meaning to. If the 4Runner one fits you’ll be unique.

Just de-badge your truck altogether. You'll be much happier when detailing it. Is it really that important for everyone else to know what level of Tundra your driving?

You think black overlays are cheesy but would paint something on your truck red, white and blue? :poking:

TOYOTA TUNDRA ,DECALS AND ALL, THE BEST ,and To each his own. Just don't make others feel like it's socalled cheesy. Your getting off on wrong foot. Call it old school , but some of us like original equipment. I've made alot of changes myself ,but only for personal preference, not out of complaining. Guess I took this a little personal as TUNDRA owner, But I like the DECALS.

    Yes
Yes. Putting black plastic over chrome is cheap and lazy. Painting a dimed-sized recess in a stock badge with patriotic colors is not. And don't ever confuse red, white and blue with being cheesy. The sjw meeting is down the hall. You're late.
    Ok, Borat.

I tend to agree with you, generally speaking. I'm a patriot and a minimalist. I don't need to paint or apply decals to my truck so that people know I love my country. I show it my love every day by being a good American. I respect a tasteful salute to one's country, team, or whatever.. But when your truck becomes a big gaudy kitsch billboard you've probably gone way too far.

That said, if the OP just painted in the recessed letters, particularly if he painted the entire badge black and then painted the letters red, white, and blue, it might actually look pretty good. Certainly better than a cheap US flag decal that covers the entire back window and was made in China.

Your opinion on red/white/blue is about the same as mine, but I was literally just having some fun with him. Emoji must have been broken or something. Mods?

OP, You may want to consider Cerakote. It will bond better and you have many more color choices available to you.

This looks great. I've always been partial to a complete de-badge, but I actually really like the font and size and style that toyota chose for their trucks. So I can't decide whether or not a clean slate or a slight modification to stock badges I'd like better.
This is sorta what I had in mind for the square badge where it's colored-in. Looks good.

I changed mine up...took them off and threw them in the garbage. MGM looks so clean without all that crap on the truck.

I removed all of the badges and decals from my truck, and I replaced the red "TRD" center caps in my wheels with ones that have silver letters that read "TOYOTA"... someday I do something about the red TRD rear sway bar, I'm not a fan of red.

I removed my tundra both sides, and left the 5.7 only looks clean. Undecided if I’m going remove my bed side trd off-road decal.
