I’m in the middle of wiring up my
Pop n Lock and came across this single yellow wire labeled “RES Diagnostic” in the passenger side kick panel, just above where I’m tapping into my door locks for the pop n lock. It’s not plugged in...

any ideas what this is or what it does?7E313922-8C4C-4789-9547-E3297B7C4DFC.jpg

Remote engine start. So a tech can start the truck from the engine compartment I'm thinking.

Maybe your truck has remote start, but it was disconnected because the factory remote start is really quite shitty? I dunno.

That’s a possibility, I’m second owner, truck came with a Clifford 2 way, 1 mile, remote start that works great. So I’m guessing you hit the nail on the head...

Wondering the same thing about this cable, as I seem to have factorry remote start that does not work. What is RES diagnostic?
