    Hi All,
Anyone seen rock rails or slider options for the new gen?

Also, if you got the OEM 'Rock Rails' option... can you post a picture or 2 and comment if those are just body mounted or otherwise?

    Thanks!

May be a while before a good selection of production level sliders are available. If you go to a capable fabrication shop, they can make you some for around the same price as a premade set.

Thanks for your question Photoweekender! I’ve also been curious comparing the Toyota OEM slider/step options. Can anyone provide their thoughts re: the predator steps, standard steps, TRD cast aluminum steps, the Toyota rock rails etc? I have an incredibly beefy set of Demello off-road sliders on my 4runner and they’re great. I’m considering the TRD Aluminum steps for my upcoming 2022 but would love any thoughts from current owners.

Here is the Rock Rails accessory listed on Toyota's website... with the least amount of info possible lol.

The TRD Cast Aluminum Running borads woul be my second choice in protection... but first choice for steps...

C4 is working on a set currently, my guess would be march release. Any shop can fab some up for you easily. The trd steps are nice looking, but won’t provide as much protection

The TRD cast aluminum running boards make fantastic steps, but I took them off for off roading. They just hang down too far and aren't strong enough to provide any protection.

Just a point I noticed on the the new frame, since it is boxed, there may be difficulty in making them bolt-on.

I was wondering why the rock sliders are available for the pro in the us and not for the pro in Canada. Also, why the running boards are not available for the pro in Canada and only for the off road trim. Different truck or undercarriage from us to ca?

Notice they describe the rock rails as “protecting against road hazards” not offroading

I know this is an older thread, but I'm curious if there's any rock sliders out there for the Tundra yet (not Toyota)

I believe there are many options out there for double cab, not sure if the bed length will change anything in relation to the side steps/ sliders.

CBI is making a full length slider for the double cab, but not the crewmax. Most of the steps will stop at the cab. I haven't seen any that go rear past the cab. The crewmax with the 6.5' bed is the challenge to get a place to mount the end of the slider or step and still have enough strength to protect the body when rock crawling. With time, some kits will start to appear.

Yo @evergreenoffroad can you post a side shot of your truck?
Lets see how far back past the cab those rock sliders go...

That's definitely on me and my lack of attention to detail, it does say sliders in the title and I completely spaced it..
I'll keep looking and post if I have any luck.

Let’s see pictures! More people have to have sliders these days. I’m looking at Rocky Road sliders. Hopefully they will allow my kids to climb up in the truck easier. Thanks
