Pretty sure that the owner of the aircraft will disagree with that.

FOX just aired some cell shots from inside the cabin. Appears there wasn't too much freaking out. It happened so fast. Kinda like Jeeping with @ColoradoTJ

Back in my day the Marines flew me all over the place to various air fields for on site TDY calibration. Mostly in AF C-130s and AF C-141s. One time I caught a hop from MCAS Iwakuni (near Hiroshima) all the way to Okinawa in one of the last C-117s the Marines had in service. 1980. Long ass, slow flight...Are we there yet?? Actually this same one>>>>>>>[IMG]

Phew, aircraft IFE's (in-flight emergencies) are always scary. I flew a ton in the Air Force and worst thing I ever experienced was on a C-130 going through our pre-flight checks on the ground. A previous crew reported the brakes pulled a bit to the right when landing so we were checking them out, seeing if they were pulling...and they were, but not bad. So we made another pass down the taxiway to make sure and, yep, discovered if you apply the brakes long enough, they get HOT and they seized up on us....we weren't going anywhere until the maintenance guys could come help out. Well, this was at Elmendorf AFB (Anchorage Alaska) in the early 90's and an AWACs aircraft was waiting for us because they had to head out west to patrol for Russian Bears. After a few minutes, a Colonel got on the radio and told us to MOVE because another AWACs on patrol was waiting for their replacement. (That put a fire under the maintenance crew.) We just got our gear, deplaned, signed it over to the maintenence guy, and went to the spare C-130 and started another round of pre-flight checklists....that was a LONG day once we got back home.
