I purchased my 2016 4x4 TRD Off Road Crewmax Limited in the spring and have been lurking on the site for several months. I loved my 2013 4x4 DCSB Tacoma Sport but needed the extra interior room and towing capacity so I upgraded to the Tundra. This is actually the sixth Toyota I've bought in a row and I had no desire to leave the Toyota family. I knew I wanted a Tundra from the beginning of my 1/2 ton truck search, but I thought I should perform due diligence and at least look at Chevy, Ford and Dodge. After test-driving all three it was painfully obvious to me the Tundra is a superior truck. It almost didn't feel like a fair fight. Anyway, the dealer gave me a cash offer of $28,090 for my Tacoma (that I paid $31,300 for three and a half years ago) so I took it and ran and then purchased the Tundra from them a few days later. I still can't believe my Tacoma held its value so well.

I loved the Barcelona Red on the Taco and planned to buy a Tundra in the same color (my wife's RAV4 is also Barcelona Red), but they had the Midnight Black Metallic on the showroom floor almost next to a Barcelona Red and the Black won me over right away.

I've been traveling a lot for work over the past several months so I haven't had time to do much except add Weather Techs and OEM Tundra doorsill plates. Anyway, my plans for the Tundra are very mild as it will primarily be used for family duty, weekend trips with the family to camp, hike, bike, etc, and general household/landscaping chores. Over the coming months I'll likely add side steps (to make it easier for my wife and son to get in/out), bed cover, change the tires to BFG K/O2s, then I'll begin the war on chrome! I can't stand all of the chrome after having the Tacoma Sport but I'll slowly chip away at it.

I've already gained a lot of knowledge on the forum and looking forward to learning more and interacting with you guys in the future.

    Cheers,
    Tim

Welcome from Lincoln, NE. I moved from 12 dclb TRD sport to 16 cm limited. The total length is about the same but man interior room on the cm is massive.

Welcome from Phoenix; a Tundra newbie myself. That's one reason I chose a Toyota, because of the resale value
