    Just got them today. They seem similar to ones lve seen on racks around here. We'll see how they do. I've been cutting wood down a really crappy road and I feel I've been pushing my luck so I may field test them soon.

    Yeah but I'd have gotten orange or red. Don't care for the green but that's why they were a deal. The other colors were twice as much. Came with a storage bag so I guess it does not matter

    Would like to hear the reviews. The problems that i have heard with some off brands is that when they get cold they are brittle and crack with use.

    i just ordered the Gen 3 version last night in Blue. I was just thinking about doing a product review or something when they come in on Wednesday. The Gen 3 version runs $100. I was thinking about waiting for another group buy on the more expensive brand but for $100 bucks if they work once at the dunes or up on the mountain they have more then paid for themselves.

    These are the Gen 3’s. They seem really durable. They are about 1/4 thick. With the main supports running the whole length of the board or whatever you want to call them. I may make it up to the mountain this weekend and if I do I will find a spot to test them on ice. I kinda want to test the holding capacity “as a ramp” but don’t feel like possibly breaking them if I try to much of an incline.

    I am suspect of this as well. I am at work now but tomorrow I can try and figure out a way to test the amount of flex. I would assume the average use for them would be on flat ground or supported so they shouldn’t flex. There is a video of a guy with a 4Runner that drives over them when he has them set up like a ramp.

    They look like 2.5ft?

    TRED offers 2 different sizes, I think a 2.5' and 3.5'.

    Still these X bull are about $80 less than the small TRED once you add the bag, no bag they are about $40 less.

    This looks like X bull has got a great product at a good price point.

    Try not to spin your wheels on these. Those nipples look really weak and are going to melt right off the first time you use them.

    Yeah this may be the hard part. One of those videos did happen to say that they are the same size as a more expensive brand and you could drill them out and install the ones in that repair kit. But that seems like to much work for me. I bought them to be used as a first defense if stuck on ice before I have to throw chains. Worst case scenario for me I get stuck on ice on the Mt. and use these. I melt some of those nipples off and hopefully get to a spot to get traction or momentum back. Either way I don't have to spend time digging out a tire or laying on the ground freezing my ass off putting chains on 35's or worst yet calling a tow truck. Last quote from a guy I tried to help was almost $300. Even if I completely destroyed them on the first use(but get out) I am way ahead.
