Sold my bed liner and time to get it sprayed. Found some nice dents on the wheel wells from the times I got materials loaded that I'll hopefully be able to bang back out before getting it coated. My plan is to not have them spray the bolts and put place holder books where the bed rails bolts screw in so I don't have to cut the coating and run a tap through the holes later.

I've gotten prices from two different locations near me (Rancho Cucamonga)

    Base $525/$503
    Premium $675/$657
No prices on color match yet (not sure if I'll go this route yet)

One of the locations, the guy told me the premium will fade after 2 or 3 years as it's a coating that's applied after. So recommended going with the base (that's honest!).

Any recommendations, location, cost, what not to do, or things to look out for before I get this done?

I use my Tundra to haul material (decorative stones, DG...use it as a truck) but also like to keep my vehicles looking nice. I'd rather do this once well and be done.

go with Premium. the base one is too greyish looking.
Mine still looks the same 3 years after. In SoCal also.

you got it right as far as bed bolts and toyota bed rails.

if you want to spray your bumpers as well .get everything done at once and negotiate for a bulk deal. That's what I did.

I got the line-x platinum in my truck. They pulled all the hardware out except for the corner tie downs. They said they couldn't get them out and just sprayed over them.

Have you looked at Rhino Lining? I really liked it on my 2001 Tundra. Looks like there's one in Pomona, one in Corona & one in Redlands.

I just have the regular Line X in my truck. It’s holding up very well. I always have dirt bikes back there so even if I sprung for the shinier finish you wouldn’t notice a difference.

Good to know. Just made me worry that the higher grade one would fade anyway. I'm looking at picking up some painted bumpers cheap to get line-x'ed at the same time too. Currently mine are chrome. Got quoted $25-50 for each bumper end and $225 for rear bumper. Seems high for the rear.

Just looked at line-x since that seems to be the more reviewed one.

I paid 600 even for premium. Offer cash and you might get a little discount.

I have your build thread bookmarked! You got my first and only like. You're the reason I'm considering colored line-x. Yes love the color plus it doesn't hurt that it matches my Camaro. What'd yours run if you don't mind me asking? Message me directly if you'd prefer.

Hey beast did they make you take the bumpers off prior to getting it sprayed or did they line it with them still on the truck?

I went with the line-x premium. Paid around $600 out the door (San Diego). Make sure you check out the shop before you pay. Rhino lining, line x, etc. it’s all in the prep and application. It may be worth spending a couple extra bucks to have it done right the first time. I’ve seen some really crappy jobs (there’s been some posted on here as well). And yes, remove the hardware as well as the plastic plugs up front. I had them remove the bed caps as well and wrap the spray around the edges.

I saw that one too. Didn't seem necessary at first but it looks really good. Gotta find prices locally for the color matched. If I found someone to do it for close to what SR5 Azul paid it'd be done pronto.

Thanks for the advice. I was wondering about the rubber plugs upfront and if they'd seat in after. No fitment issues with the caps after?

I wish I would’ve thought of taking my bed caps off and having them spray over the rail. Good move!

Nope, no issues. You can spray them if you want, just more of a hassle down the road if you want to add drain lines from a cover or canopy, etc.

I'll have them remove them. How far around the edge under the cap did you have them spray?
