I was removing the Platinum Tundra badges off my NEW truck tonight and put a nice dent in the quarter panel. FML. The part that has me pissed is that I noticed a flaw in my paint that was hidden under the badging. A nice swirl that looks like the paint was touched up and hidden by the badging.

So now I have to pay $200 to fix the dent and battle Toyota over the paint issue. I will post pics tomorrow so I can get everyone's feedback. For now, Friday sucks.

Ouch on putting in the dent.......that sucks. Interesting that they hid a touch up with the badging....probably figured no one would ever be the wiser. :facepalm:GL with Toyota, I'm curious to see if you can get them to fix it.

On another note....what are you going to do with the Platinum Tundra badges?

Sorry brother. Small paint flaw and small dent, still an amazing truck! Easy for me to say, but try to stay positive, it will all work out somehow!

    Just getting started
Same thing happened to me, I had a big touch up behind one of the 5.7 badges, didn't really bother me because I was replacing them with black ones so the badge covered it back up, but would have been really pissed if I was debadging.
