So after a long winter in mpls and finally getting my powersteps fully operational i noticed the paint is flaking and exposes the silver metal. Has anyone repainted a set? I was thinking of trying to hide the silver with black truck bed spray. I used that to cover up paint flaking off my bull bar. The bull bar metal was more pourus than the smooth boards.

They did it when I got my bed done. He sprayed them for $125 I think. Maybe it was $140. Something around that.

How old are the steps? If not too old, contact Amp Research see what they can do for you. If nothing, have linexed or powder coated.

    Good Luck

Only issue is the motor is causing a small dent on both boards where I guess the line-x is a thicker material. I guess it’s hitting the board when it’s fully retracted. Really small, but weird nonetheless. Doesn’t bother me too much, but it is kind of annoying.

My boards were installed in 2014. I also have the small indent scratch on the top of the boards where the motors are. This all took place this last winter. I do recommend them. They get a lot of comments and moreso in the dark when the blue led lights up the boards. Im going to call around for pricing for resurfacing. I like the fire application look. Thanks all!
