    Has anybody tried these?

I would love bilstein 5100's but don't have the funds or the time considering I need my tuck on weekends. I don't go off pavement really, Ocasionally on the beach and in the snow. I found the clunk this weekend. Notice the white silver mark on the lower part of the strut.

What do you think about these struts for the price? 250,000 miles on the truck btw

You can get KYBgas adjust from Rock Auto for that price. Just put some on my dads 1st gen. But I would splurge next time and get the complete front strut for 100 more unless you have access to a real strut spring compressor.

Edit: I guess those are the complete strut... so may as well give it a try and report back.

I bought a very similar strut setup when I rebuilt the front end on my Tundra. No problems With the installation and so far, they're holding up fine. It's only been about 300 miles of driving, but like you, I don't plan on any heavy duty off-roading/rock climbing...
