Alpha Owls Projector Headlights

Has anyone seen / tried out these headlights from Alpha Owls? Seems like a potential alternative to the sequoia lights for us 2nd gen guys. They also have them for the “third” gen. I’m thinking of saving up for them and pulling the trigger on a sale. Thoughts?

They look nice. What’s all involved with transferring the leveling motors?

 

The quality is horrible. The output is comparable to taping a flashlight to your hood

 

I can't speak on said headlights, but you would be better off with a custom retrofit for that money. Just my .02.

 

Someone on here got them and hated them. Can’t remember who.

I'll be honest. These are the first negative I've seen so far but very helpful. Thanks for the tag!

 

I bought these headlights for my 3rd gen when they first released. They looked great in the photos. There was debris inside the headlights and they were ordered brand new from the manufacturer. After I saw photos of the light output from other tundra owners, I decided to sell them before even installing them. I would strongly recommend a different route. I’ve heard several tundra owners that have had to replace their headlights from manufacturer defects. Just my personal experience and opinion.

 

So much hope for these. I think cosmetically they look great. Disappointing to read this feedback

 

That's what I was thinking too...

 

They debuted on a truck at Sema a couple of years ago and everyone wants them. Took forever to even become available. Then some guys got them and they were garbage.

Plus the center LED “check mark” is not a true DRL. Only comes on when the parking lights are turned on. A complete misdesign.

 

Here’s photos of mine when they arrived. I sold them immediately before installing them.

 

Those just look wrong. Way wrong.

 

Good to know, I’ll go another route when the time comes. Wasn’t down to spend 3 months of truck payments on headlights anyways

 

I think they make the truck look like it’s suspicious of something...
