As of now we wont be selling the replacement SAE lenses on our site. For a switch, we will require you to send in the lights to our facility. the reason for this is that the SAE lights are not to be opened up or changeable by the consumer because of the SAE rating and the optic positioning. We will do our best to get these orders out and in your guys hands.
    Best,
    Brandon

Why haven't you guys come up with a bracket to easily adapt these bad ass lights to the best gen Tundras, the first gen Tundras? Where's the love for the first gen Tundras? I see y'all showing love to the Tundra from 07+ but not the first gens, again, the best gen Tundras. How come?

Hey @artsr2002, It is really difficult to run back to vehicles and create a kit for them with all these new models of vehicles releasing. There is a kit that does work with the 1st gen Tundra with very little modification that has been used from a couple of employees here at Baja Designs. This kit is the 05-11 Tacoma Fog light kit and will require you to stack a couple of washers on both sides where the bolt mounts to the vehicle.

    Hey @clarks,

I took these questions out to our production to give you some real-world numbers. So with a single light being tested, we got an overall beam width of 102" and this was with the light on a tripod 8' away. With these measurements, we were able to use some math to come up with an overall of 56 degrees per light. Hope this answers your question, keep in mind this is a single light being tested and the overall width will be different if you are using two lights.
    Best,
    Brandon

Would love to hear back from someone that has swapped out their SAE squadrons to the new version. Anyone?

I'll try and report back soon. I swapped them out but it stays light so late I haven't been able to try them out.

    Hey @Cl8NL,
Here is a photo of the Squadron SAE lights while they are off. Unfortunately, we do not have a photo of them on a 2.5 and older Tundra.

I still have only had one or two opportunities to use the new lights but so far they are nice. The cutoff is great and they put out hood light; although they don’t seem as bright as the old ones. Could also be that I need to mess with the aim a bit and make sure they are setup correctly.
But I no longer have light shining up pst my headlights and don’t get complaints from other drivers.
Here is a shot of them mounted.

Looking for a clear explanation of how these are mounted. When I look at the installation guide, it's not clear to me, but it looks like these just secure to the plastic bezel inserts in the bumper. At the moment, I have an array of cable ties holding the OEM Rigid driving lights because the bezels are so loose in the bumper (Common Tundra BS). If these lights don't mount to rigid metal somewhere, I'm not sure the will be any better that the epileptic OEM driving lights.

Assuming I'm correct about intended mounting, has anyone changed the mounting on these to get a rock solid driving light?

    Thanks

LOL yea... I'm moving to all BD. It's on the list especially since my chase lights are BD. The mismatching is driving me nuts. LP6's, XL 80s and Squadron SAE's planned.

I don't have the link handy, but if you look at my build thread I have some pictures on how I secured mine with the existing plastic bezels.
Someone else posted above that they used the metal BD mounts and was able to make them work for the 1st Gen Tundra Bumper.
