I’ve read through a bunch of the detailing threads but don’t really see an all in one suggestion?

Does that mean that it doesn’t exist?

Any help is appreciated. Here’s what I’m looking for:

    - I will most likely do a full detail 2x/year to keep the paint safe.
    - I wash it regularly in a car wash bay but have a power washer now so will do it at home 1-2/month
    - I am willing to put in work to do this but I’m not obsessed
    - I also need some gear (towels, 2 buckets, foam cannon etc)
-16 tundra sits outside needs a full makeover.
    - it would be nice if I could order all this stuff and interior cleaner at one spot

is there a one stop shop for an idiot like me?

As I just said to someone else.....the rabbit hole known as detailing has one way in and no way out. Autogeek.net is a very good source for all things detailing. Do not waste your money on the buckets they sell....Lowes or Home Depot buckets are just as good for less than 1/2 the price. You can get a low budget foam cannon on Amazon which will serve your needs just fine. I have one, and I have one of the expensive ones....the expensive one is better, but not so much to justify the additional cost. The Ragg Company is a good source for towels, but only for the better ones. For doing things like engine bays or wheel wells, the cheap ones from WalMart will be fine. People will tell you that an all purpose cleaner (APC) is okay for interiors....but can stain plastic even at higher dilutions. Invest in a good interior cleaner, like Griots or P&S.

Autogeek is a good source. Adam's Polishes has a ton of videos and how-to's and their products are made and labeled simply. 2 buckets with grit guards, a few microfiber wash mitts, good soap. Clay bars, detail spray (or clay lube) and a good sealant (I like guard and gloss for simplicity). Good quality microfiber towels. You could get by with just this stuff no problem. Two bucket method to wash, full clay bar to decontaminate, and a high quality sealant will get you a few months of protection and shine. The other stuff (foam cannon, etc) makes it more enjoyable and fun but it's not necessary.

    Good luck!

I bought my griot’s detailing kit from auto geek. Orbital buffer is nice to have depending on your care level

Where you at in CO? ADAMS is in north Denver. Some of their stuff isn’t very good but they’ll cover the necessary bases pretty well.

Thats all I use is ADAMS, never had an issue with their product. If you do have an issue or even questions they are there to help. With a 100% satisfaction guarantee you cant go wrong.

They do have kits available just depends on how much you want to spend, check out the website lots of good instructional videos to watch. If you are close to them in Colorado stop by and see them they are an awesome group of people.

You never used the original ceramic boost then ;) You’re correct in that they did replace it when v 2.0 came out but 1.0 was so streaky it was useless. I’ve got a few more example but I’ve also got a bag in the garage full of stuff I do like. Gallons of my favorites. Glass cleaner (green non aerosol) tire and rubber cleaner, wheel cleaner, detail spray, ceramic boost, buttery wax, leather conditioner, iron remover, ultra and mega foam, two Adams buckets that I got for free spinning the wheel, remnants of an 11h ceramic kit..... if you shop in person building a kit is easy, everything is on display. Grab a bucket and fill it up.

The ones who seem to sell “kits” are the ones who are more concerned about marketing than making good product. Companies like CG, Armor All, Adams, etc. CG has some good products, but mostly average. Armor All is junk.
I know a lot of guys here like Adams, but I’m not a fan. I’ve admittedly not used a ton of their stuff, but was underwhelmed with what I did try. Add in the fact that they charge over 70.00 a bottle for the second worst paint protectant I’ve ever tried, and knowingly mis-advertised on another, and I just don’t have any faith in them.

As for me, it comes down to there not being one company who has the best of everything. A la carte is really the best option.
Autogeek is nearly a one stop shop for everything you need.

Yeah I’m piecing it all together. Just starting simple and rolling from there. As soon as I get all the gear they will lift the restrictions and it will all sit there. Ha!

Only Adams product I use is the ceramic waterless wash. That might change now shine supply makes something similar.

I will say Adam's has top notch customer service!

Recently I've purchased a bunch of hand sanitizer from them for my wife that works at the hospital, also bought some of the surface cleaner for my house. So kudos to them for stepping up and making needed products right now.

P & S is also making hand sanitizer and I believe shine supply is working on something. Kudos to them as well.
