Spent about 3 hours on the outside getting it ready for winter to beat the shit out of it...wash,clay bar, wax. Shit, it's the first time I've bothered to put dressing on the tires. Now for winter. Need to order some fluid film and get that done and I'll feel somewhat prepared.

Good call. I just clayed my door and the difference was obvious. I've got so much grinding dust from sitting at the shop for 2 months and tree sap and who knows what. Need to get that stuff off before winter! Nice looking truck you have there.

Thanks. Anyone use fluid film yet?
Yeah, I know. was like that when I bought it. Not exactly what I would've done...

    Gracias.

I sure have. I have a thread in the detailing section all about it. I like it and will keep using it. Amsoil HD metal protector seems to be a bit better of a product, but fluid film works for me and has for years.

I used Fluid Film for the first time last year per recommendations here. It works good, but washes off in a few months.

I’ve since switched to moly-b grease rubbing the entire frame (once last year) and it really has lasted. Its lots of work the first go around. Used a sponge and wiped it out of the tub and straight to the frame. Used a plunger stick and sponge to get up in the box frame forward. Been shooting PB Penetrating Blast everywhere to freshen it all up and get into the nooks/pores and crannies.
