AJT Toyota Emblem Petition

So, did a quick search and didn't see anything related.

AJT has a petition going to express that we, the Toyota fans, want the emblem overlays that Toyota forced AJT to stop selling. I for one would love to get one of these from a trusted source, so I signed. Anyone else want to help out?

I was happy to get mine just days before the cut off. I couldn’t be happier with it and signed so others could experience the joy.

 

Signed. I am stuck with a cheap Amazon product. Would love to buy Made in USA.

Signed. I picked up one from AJT a while back before they got shut down by Toyota, but it would be great if it was available to the masses again. Or for when I inevitably screw mine up cleaning it or something.

AJT's cover has the curve to the face that the cheap Esty and eBay covers don't have.

A petition isn't going to do crap. The emblem is copyright and they'd have to win in court and that's not going to happen. Also, I won't sign.

 

I have one of AJT's emblem covers but still signed this. Others have a right to enjoy this quality product and I'd rather have money stay in the US vs China.

 

I’d sign it, especially for the new 22 pro. It’s got black accents, black trim, and black vents but the steering wheel emblem is chrome like da fuq

 

I used this one off Amazon. Been great. Put on my 4Runner and Tundra.

I bought a similar one off Ebay and it looks great.

 

No shit, sherlock. Nobody is delusional and thinks signing the petition can possibly force Toyota to do anything. It is so that it can be shown and possibly appeal to Toyota to reconsider. With enough public support they might decide to let AJT have an officially licensed product.

Also, if you're not signing why post? Nobody cares that you're not signing, and we certainly don't care why you think others shouldn't.

 

Not sure you quite understand how this works.
There is no need to win in court. Toyota can grant folks the rights outside of going to court if they so choose.
The petition is somewhat an indicator to Toyota what folks are wanting. Does not equate to them granting rights to AJT but if the petition were to have a profitable amount of people one may see a Toyota approved or even manufactured one.
But no there is no reason to go to court.

AJT abided by the cease and desist because they have no standing on Toyota’s intellectual property. Though that does not mean they can’t show to Toyota hey look at this market here we already have the product set and ready to roll how much of a cut do you want if you let us sell them again?

I have a bunch of AJT stuff in my cab.



If anything, I can see Toyota seeing interest in the product and making their own charging twice as much.
Just like they do the exterior emblem overlays...

Perhaps that sneaks them by the Toyota lawyer crews doing photo searches for emblem parts..
