At my last maintenance interval the techs updated the computer so that the passenger side airbag issue was resolved...however, ever since then my MPGs have gone down about 1.5miles per gallon and occasionally the truck with blow a gas laden cloud of smoke much like my POS I drove prior.

Anyone have/had/notice this before or am I just paranoid? It's getting maintenance done again today at 10k miles so I thought I'd ask.

I did not have any issues after the software update.

Just finished up my 10k mike service along with this recall. Other than taking 3.5 hours (with a scheduled appointment) I have had no issues. Still averaging 18-19 mpg.

I was getting a modest 16.8 overall average mostly highway due to a 40ish mile round trip to the office. Now am hovering at 15.5....no change in driving style. The biggest this I was worried about was the smoke cloud at start up.

hand calculate, computers lie all the time, so actual may be the same, but updates may change how it's calculating what the meter says. Also, winter time things get a bit worse, more ethanol in the fuel etc etc etc.
