Well, 3" is generally considered borderline. Less and no UCA more and you gotta do UCA's. I just did my front and I did replace my UCA's. I got about 3-3.5" from the new coilovers. My front definitely doesn't have that kind of downward angle. I don't wanna tell you that you need 'em and run the risk of being wrong. Best get some more input from others that know more than I do. But, my guess is that you do need 'em. They certainly wouldn't hurt.

I have the same setup. New UCA's and skids will be put on sometime before next spring. I haven't experienced any contact issues with the UCA hitting the coil with suspension fully distended when wheeling, but new SPC UCA's will get you the best alignment and more clearance. Well worth the money.

After 2 1/4" we start suggesting UCA's. 3" of lift on stock upper control arms is definitely pushing that balljoint to its limits. Especially when the shock is drooping out.

A set of uniball control arms will fix this. I personally, would never do a spindle spacer. The uniball arms are designed to allow you to get your alignment back in specs on lifted applications. Black Friday deals start in 6 hours

I didn't even know there was such a thing as a spindle spacer. Seems like such a bad idea I'm really surprised they make 'em.
