I’ve been looking forward to installing a new aftermarket stereo in my 01 Tundra, because the factory one is very staticky. I’ve got the new stereo, wiring harness, etc. i didn’t buy a dash kit because it fits well with the old brackets. But I’m having an issue with finding the correct receiver harness, as the one they gave me was incorrect fitment. The plugs from the stereo to dash are too small of a pin count to fit the factory ones in the dash. Any help is welcome, because I’m stuck and haven’t found a solution or correct part yet.

You probably have a factory amp you need to pull out. It sits behind your HVAC controls. 2 bolts to pull the amp out. The connectors on the bottom side of the amp are most likely the ones you need. Post pics of what you have though to confirm.

Agree with previous poster that you likely have the Toyota amp in the way. Crutchfield, and many others, sells wiring harnesses that will plug directly into the factory harness so that you don't have to cut existing wires. The factory harness in these Tundra's was used in a lot of Toyotas over the years and these aftermarket harnesses are available in abundance.

    Good Luck.

Yes I ran into the same issue. Factory amp it's set down under the radio hole inside the dash, and the harness the store sells connects to the harness that goes into that.
