just got the RC 6 in lift kit, looking for a good tire combo
Hey guys! I'm looking into getting an aftermarket grille for the Tundra(2018), its all mesh w/ small light bars. But i know we have to relocate the sensor that's in the emblem/logo. Anyone know how to do that or have any suggestions on how to do it so we dont eff it up. Lol thanks in advance

I’m been trying to figure mine out for some time now with this rigid grille being metal.

I think you're out of luck if you stick with that metal grill, unless you surface mount it in front of it and that'll look terrible. There's no way those sensors will ever read through that metal, they are finicky enough behind thin and translucent plastic

Well so I made a bracket myself and placed the sensor up a little behind the grille and so far it’s been almost 2 days and everything seems to work fine!!! Hope I don’t jinx myself, if it works by Monday I’ll add some photos of the sensor, bracket and where I mounted it. Thanks

So it worked for a few days but as soon as it started to rain it acted up again so I decided to move it up a little. Seems like it takes a day or two to calibrate itself. Let’s see what happens!

Moved it up about an inch to clear the light bar.

I made my own bracket and have not have had any issues with over 5000 miles and numerous road trips. I use adaptive cruise and the TSS stop works too.
I circled the location in red. It’s drivers side just off center and has no issues going through the lower portion of the grill.

Rain/snow will cause the sensor to "act up" regardless. I have gotten used to it.

Where there is a will there is a way, sorry guys but after a while of frustration, I cut the grille and custom mounted the sensor with zero issues!!!

I know it’s been awhile since you did this but was there a lot of slack in the wiring hermess? Thinking about doing this but moving it out to an aftermarket bumper?
